Must Have Colors Monday
2017-2019 In-Colors Retiring

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RETIRING IN COLORS

Hi Everyone,

One of the many awesome features of Stampin Up products is our color coordination. Everything matches, it’s like Gar-animals. Remember those clothes when we were kids? The monkey tags went with the monkeys, making it easy to dress your kids in matching clothes. Stampin up is like the Gar-animals of paper crafts lol. Stampin Up has 5 Color Collections: Regals, Subtles, Brights, Neutrals and In Colors.
The In Color collection is a little different from our Core Collection. It’s broken down into 2 groups of 5. Each year 5 of these 10 colors go away, and we get 5 new colors. It’s a great way to introduce fresh and trendy colors.
The In Color Collections are named by the year they were introduced and the year they will be retired. For example the collection retiring this year is named 2017-2019 In Colors. They are retired with the Annual Catalog officially retiring June 3, 2019 (the date is marked on the back of the annual catalog). Once announced, these retiring In Color products will be “whiles supplies last” and often sell out quickly.
Head’s Up
I’m giving you this head’s up so you can start budgeting your purchases and collecting the In color products you want now. I recommend stocking up on ink pad refills and card stock in these colors now. This way you won’t have to worry about quick sell-outs and missing out on your fav colors. Some of these products will sell out within days of the Retirement list being announced. A full list of products containing these colors is below. Please note that it is not official yet that all will retire, but any of the current Designer Series Papers will be discontinued as well.
Combine with Sale-a-bration!
Purchase before March 31 and combine with Sale-a-bration (SAB) and get free products.
When will the 2019 retirement list be announced? Both the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog & the Occasions Catalog will be ending on June 3. The list of products that will be discontinued (not carried over into the new catalog) is called the “Retirement List”. The official date of this year’s retirement list release has not been announced, but it will most likely be in mid-April. I do not know what else is retiring yet. I’ll post this info as soon as it’s announced.

Finding Inspiration Friday
Global Design Project #182

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my Finding Inspiration Friday post. It's not hard to find inspiration when stamping. There are so many wonderful things to look at like the outdoors, the clothes you have on, and the different types of patterns and things we see in furniture. There is also wonderful inspiration from the many sketch challenges that I participate in. Today I am sharing a project that I am submitting to the Global Design Project. This is the GPD#182 sketch challenge for this week.

By submitting project to the sketch challenges, you have the opportunity to pull out stamp sets and get creative. These challenges often times are layout challenges, so you can really focus on your stamps.

For this project, I used the wonderful Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper. This particular sheet is a vellum cardstock and it's beautiful! The whole suite of Wonderful Romance is fantastic. The circle Framelit is part of the Wonderful Floral Framelits.

I hope you are inspired to create your own project following this sketch layout. You can see more entries at the GDP#182 blog post to see what other stampers have created. Thanks so much for stopping by and don't miss out on the last couple of days of Sale-A-Bration!

There are so many wonderful Sale-A-Bration products to earn free with an minimum order. If you haven't gotten your free products yet, you only have a week left to earn them! Be sure to check out the Sale-A-Bration products now! This is the last couple of days to earn free products.

What to Share Wednesday
Big on Birthday Cheer

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for joining me today while I share a few fun projects that I created for my Wednesday Class. I wanted to share a few fun ideas for my stamping friends and this stamp set is perfect.

This first card I created was for a sketch challenge recently. It made me decide to use this the Birthday Cheer Bundle as my theme for Wednesday Class. The think that makes this card fun, is that I used the Uninked Stampin' Spots to create the multi-colored greeting. Using the spots allows you to create the fun colors perfectly. Also, notice the small strip of green cardstock? That is to help your focal point be drawn to the saying. Don't you also love the die cut cupcakes?

I really enjoyed making this project. I was inspired by another background wash card with the cupcakes. This card using a watercolor wash is a preview to my Tuesday Technique class of water coloring techniques. For this project, I used the classic ink pad and used a couple of drops of rinker onto the inside of the stamp pad (lid). Then, I used an Aqua Painter to get the Shimmery White paper wet and then washed the color over the cardstock. I used the matching color of Stampin' Write Markers to color the sprinkles and cupcake.

Who Wouldn't love receiving this fun birthday card! The colors are so bright and cheery. I used the Stampin' Blends for the wonderful colors. I wanted to create this project for class to help my stamping friends find ways to use their scraps of designer series paper. Three strips created this fun background for the fun birthday treats.

The Birthday Cheer Bundle is great! There are so many wonderful sayings and the font is fantastic! There are so many things to create with the fun framelits too. Thanks so much for stopping in. I hope you have found some inspiration to do your own stamping.

Finding Inspiration Friday
Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Hi Everyone,
It's a wonderful Friday with lots of inspiration for stamping. Today I'm participating in the Freshly Made Sketches 378 challenge. This one was a little more difficult for me to complete, but I really like what I ended up making. You can always find inspiration in the sketch challenges.

When I saw this challenge, I immediately went for my designer series paper stacks. The Classic Garage DSP is fantastic! There are so many wonderful designs and it is about time to think of those occasions for the men in our life.

The rich colors of the paper coordinate so well together too. Notice the die-cut gears. They were cut out using the DSP. I really love the Geared up Garage Stamp set and coordinating dies. There are so many different ways to use them. I did share some other projects using this bundle in previous blogs.

You can't forget to dress the insides of your projects either. For this card, I decided to make it for Father's Day. Our family loves to go to car shows and my husband knows everything about old classic cars. This Geared up Garage is the perfect set to use for a card for him.

Weekly Wednesday
Global Design Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping in to my blog. Today I'm sharing a project created for the Global Design Project sketch challenge. This week they posted a challenged called "Sweeter Than Candy". I love candy, so this is perfect!

I really enjoy creating for these challenges. They layout challenges are fun, but I really like the variety you have with the theme challenges.

For my saying, I used Uninked Spots with Ink Refills to get the multi-colored saying. The Birthday Cheer Bundle is so fun! The thinlits are fantastic. I love the row of cupcakes. You can see many more entries at the GDP#179 Blog Post. It closes on Monday, so you even have time to create your own entry.
