Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog
Count Down

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today I wanted to be sure to keep up with my posts even though I have had to travel out of state for some family things. It's so hard to believe that the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog is just a week away from being live! There are so many wonderful things to share, but I have to continue to share my Monster Bash creations. I'm not sure if I've told you before that fall and Halloween are my favorite as well as my oldest daughter, Julianne.

Both of my projects today are for surprising someone with treats for that spooky day. I'm planning on creating them for my coworkers. I am in education, and everyone loves to get treated on the holidays. First off, I've created a fun treat bag that can fit lots of goodies. I used a 6" x 12" piece of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. I was inspired by Angie Juda's of Chic' N Scratch 12 weeks of Halloween.

The designer paper is fantastic. The main image of the skeleton and lady was punched out with a 1 3/4" circle punch and then a Starburst punch layer. For the fancy black scroll, I used the Ornate Frames Dies. I love how quick I can create lots of treat bags by utilizing so much of the designer series paper.

Now I know you are going to love these Coffin Treat Boxes. There are 12 to a set and the boxes go together so easily. For my treat box, I used the Hammered Metal 3D-Embossing Folder. I think it looks like cobblestones, which is perfect for a grave yard don't you? This is another image that I cut out of the DSP. The layer is also a die from the Ornate Frames Dies.

If you liked my projects, you might be interested in the entire Monster Bash Suite. This option to purchase the whole collection will give you endless crafting. The suite includes the Spooktacular Bash Stamp set with Ornate Frames Dies, the Monster Bash DSP, A Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder, Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon, Monster Bash Enamel Shapes, and of course the Coffin Treat Boxes. You will have all you need to make many, many treats.

Thanks again for coming by today. I know fall is creeping up on us and it's never too soon to start to spook. Speaking of spooky, have you heard about the September Paper Pumpkin kit?

Halloween is nearly here, which means that Paper Pumpkin has been busy, busy, busy. We thought you might like “a hand” with your frightful festivities, so Stampin' Up! designed September’s kit, Bone Appétit, with you in mind.

This kit includes 20 food-safe treat boxes, a unique and exclusive Halloween stamp set, and a spooky, special-edition box. September’s kit also gives new meaning to the word “handmade.” (Cue the scary laughter!)

Holiday Catalog Count Down with
Case This Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I'm so glad you are here with me on this Monday. It's the last week of August and I've been seeing signs of Fall. My garden is starting to slow down and I'm seeing leaves falling off the tree. I live in Western Washington State, so we start the cool down a little early I think.

Anyway, welcome and I hope you enjoy my post today. I created a project for the Case This Sketch Challenge #336 posted recently. This was a layout created by fellow demonstrator Brian King. I just love the focal point front and center.

If you've been with me, you know I love sketch challenges. I created my project using the Monster Bash Suite in about 10 minutes. The layout already decided makes stamping so quick and fun!

I've dedicated my blog this week as a count down for the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. It goes live on September 4th to everyone. If you need a catalog, I'm happy to send one to you. It's definitely never to early to start on your holiday needs.

Isn't this skeleton the cutest? He is one of the fun images in the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. I also used the Hammered Metal 3D-Embossing Folder. Then I burnished it using a Stampin' Sponge and Basic Grey Ink.

Finishing off the inside of the card, I used a strip of the DSP and added the wonderful sentiment. I really like the font of the sentiments. This really was fun to make.

There are many other entries to see at the CTS336 blog. You can even create your own project inspired by the challenge to enter.

Thanks again for coming by today. I know fall is creeping up on us and it's never too soon to start to spook. Speaking of spooky, have you heard about the September Paper Pumpkin kit?

Friday's Sneak Peek
with Let is Snow Suite

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for joining me today and if you followed me this week, I hope you have enjoyed my sneak peek project for the upcoming Holiday Catalog that is available September 4th by Stampin' Up! Today is the end of my "Sneak Peek Week", but you'll surely see more creations soon.

Today, I'm featuring the Let it Snow Suite of products. I wanted to feature the wonderful Let it Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. Whenever the DSP package says "Specialty", this means that the paper has special features or textures. There may be metallic highlights or shimmer. The Let is Snow DSP has textured glitter throughout many of the pages.

I've created a double fold gate card today. This uses a 5 1/2" x 12" piece of designer series paper. This really showcases the beauty and quality of Stampin' Up! DSP. I scored at 2", 4", 8", 10". Then I used mountain and valley folds. You may notice the triangles on each corner. I trimmed a 2 3/4" triangle off the tops of both ends and flipped the triangles around and glued to the bottom edges. This creates that diamond front when the card is closed.

The inside of the card uses Shaded Spruce cut at 5 1/4" x 4". Then I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a 5" x 3 3/4" rectangle. The snowman is actually punched out of the specialty DSP. There is a punch that fits the snowman perfectly. It cuts out the snowman, arms, and hat.

Okay, if you don't notice it in the Holiday Catalog or you think, "Oh it's just glitter", you will have to rethink that because the Ice Stampin' Glitter is fantastic! The pieces are much larger than normal glitter and it really has some dimension to it.

Well thanks for joining me this week to see my sneak peeks of products coming soon. I am having fun getting ready for swaps and my stamping classes and events. You are still able to get these products early with the joining Stampin' Up! special.

Wednesday's Holiday Catalog
Sneak Peek Week

Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to my Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek Week. This is my second post this week sharing some of the wonderful products in the upcoming Holiday Catalog by Stampin' Up!. Fall and Halloween are my favorite times of the year. My oldest daughter also is a huge Halloween fan. We love to bring out the decorations and fill our house and yard with spooky things.

I love all the fun projects that are featured for this suite of products. Notice the little coffin and small curvy box. These are available in the holiday catalog. What an easy way to make quick treats!

Back to my project for today. I am using the Monster Bash Suite of products from the new Holiday Catalog. I love the idea of the suites. This allows you to purchase all the items in the suite with one item number. All the products coordinate together, which makes stamping so easy. My project today is highlighting the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. The paper is wonderful! There are sheets with images that coordinate with the Ornate Frame Dies. In the projects featured above, some of the images from the DSP have been cut using those dies. Now that's quick crafting!

Can you ever get enough of enamel shapes? I know you are going to love the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes. There are ravens, tombstones, skulls, and dots. I have used 3 of the fun enamel shapes on my project. These are so cute!

I really like the font that is used for this stamp set. I am also showing another print of the DSP. I really like the webs.

Here are a couple more projects that higlight the Ornate Frames Dies and the Monster Bash DSP. Isn't that coffin so great? You get 12 Coffin Treat Boxes in 1 set. This is so great! I just can't get enough of this suite.

Thanks again for stopping in. I will have another sneak peek in my Finding Inspiration Friday post. Now is the best time to get all of wonderful new products. Check out the joining special happening now.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek Week

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping in today. You will want to come back all this week for for Wednesday and Friday blogs as well. This week I'm celebrating the upcoming Holiday Catalog that is available September 4th. I have been playing with some new products from my Holiday Catalog Pre-Order. As a demonstrator, I can pre-order new products a whole month before they are available to customers. You can get your holiday products early too. More about that later.

Isn't this birdie just the cutest thing ever! This stamp is part of the set called Birds of a Feather. It is a set of 10 stamps with 4 of the images are different characters for holidays throughout the year. This little birdie could say, "Wishing you a Joyful Christmas from our little flock" as well.

I decided that I needed to make a matching gift tag to go with the gift I plan to give with the card. I simply used the semi circle I punched out of the DSP for my card and used it for the tag. Keeping with the same colors, it's a perfect match.

Notice the fuzzy Santa hat's pom-pom and trim? Stampin' Up! is offering Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. It is so fun! You simply shake it up and put a thin amount of the liquid where you want the puff. Then you set it with your heat tool and as it heats, it puffs up. It's so darn cute! Here are a couple of other projects created to feature this stamp set. You can see a couple of the other fun characters.

Remember I said as a demonstrator, I get to pre-order products early from the upcoming catalog? Well anyone who signs up in the month of August can choose Holiday Catalog items in a starter kit. How fun is that!? It's the perfect time to join as summer is coming to a close and fall is in the air. Joining now also gives you extra free product.

Until August 31, new demonstrators will receive an additional $30 usd/$40 cad to put toward bonus products in their Starter Kit. THEN, they’ll receive a $10 usd/$14 cad coupon code the following month. Click for more information.
