Sketch Challenge Winner with Prizes

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping in today. I have great news to share. It's time for me to award the winner of my sketch challenge for the month. The card above is the winner. It was created by Christi. My daughter chose this card because she said the way the sloth is angled and it is lined up with the diagonal strip which is great perspective. She said it looks like the sloth could just keep sliding down the card. How fun!

This beautiful card was created by Debra. I really love the collage type of stamping on her card. I also like how Debra used the Terracotta Tile Scallop Ribbon on her card.

Kathy really caught my eye on her card! My favorite color is yellow and this card is stunning! Kathy used the Free as a Bird Stamp set for this project. The faceted gems are so pretty too.

The prize that Christ has won is the Coming Home Bundle found in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. It's a great bundle, and Christi might want to get the Trimming the Town DSP. The dies from the bundle cut out some of the images from the paper. So awesome!

I want to thank Christi, Debra, and Kathy for participating in my sketch challenge. I put a challenge out at the middle of the month for a prize. I hope you will come back and even participate in the next challenge.

Finding Inspiration Friday with Poinsettia Place

Hi Everyone,
I'm so glad you are here today because I have a great inspiration day. I have 2 wonderful cards to share with you using the Poinsettia Petals Bundle. These 2 cards were created using pieces die cut from the other. Let me explain.

My sister-n-law and I were working on some swap cards and she had an idea about layering a Whisper White piece of cardstock, so the stamped poinsettia on the read would peek through. So, using the Stamparatus, we stamped the poinsettia onto the Real Read Cardstock in Garden Green ink. Then realigning for the white cardstock, we stamped the poinsettia with garden green onto the white cardstock and die cut the poinsettia out. The white cardstock piece was then laid over and lined up for the stamped poinsettia on the Real Red Cardstock.

That die cut Garden Green poinsettia became the idea for the second card. Using Real Red and Garden Green, we designed this card with a nice background of stamped poinsettias and DSP from the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper.

This card has a country Christmas feel to it, and the Champagne Rhinestones are the perfect center for this card.

Stampin' Up! has so many wonderful dies and there are so many opportunities to get creative and get 2 projects for the price of 1. My sister-n-law and I had so much fun stamping together too. There were so many great ideas bouncing back and forth.

When you order the Variety Bundle, you get the stamp set, the coordinating punches, and the specialty designer series paper. This way of purchasing with a 10% discount has never been done before. One of the things I love is designer series papers. The Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series paper is so rich and stunning. I love to mix and match the patterns as well.

  • The Mossy Meadow layer is cut at 3 3/4" x 5"
  • All the DSP strips are cut at 1 3/4" wide
  • The bottom strip is cut at 3 1/2" wide
  • The two other DSP strips are 3" long

I absolutely love the Cinnamon Cider color on this card! It mimics the copper foil richness. The copper ribbon from the Basket weave Ribbon Combo Pack is just stunning!

Do you think my project is stunning? Let me know. Thanks so much for joining me today. Be sure to check out a recent post on a chance to win a bundle. I love when I do a monthly sketch challenge for prizes.

Finding Inspiration Friday with Loyal Leaves by Stampin' Up!

Hi Everyone,
I'm so glad you are joining me today for my Friday Inspiration post. I am getting excited for the fall season and the Loyal Leaves Stamp set is perfect for fall.

My first project uses Terracotta Tile for the base. The leaves have such fine vein structure and are so beautiful!

This card is one that we created at my Weekly Tuesday stamp class. For this card, I stamped and embossed the leaves onto Mint Macaron Cardstock. Then I used a sponge to sponge on some additional colors onto the leaves to give a fall like look.

In this picture you might be able to see the deeper colors in the leaves. I used Cinnamon Cider and Mint Macaron to sponge. I also sponged a bit of Cider onto the bricks background.

Another feature of the Loyal Leaves Stamp set is the fantastic greetings. They are bold and encouraging.

I hope you liked my projects today. Let me know which of the two card you like best. Be sure to check out a recent post on a chance to win a bundle. If you like crafting for fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving, you will want to get the September Paper Pumpkin Kit. Here are the details:

Mary's Card Rehab with To a Wild Rose Stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Hi Everyone,
You chose a great day to stop in because I'm doing an overhaul or "rehab" on a card I once made. Today the topic is on focal point.

On my original card, I feel like there is no focal point. Items seem to be placed all over with no real plan. Now elements are great, but a little work is needed. I really like the label from the Wild Rose Dies, so that and the butterflies will stay.

This is my updated card. I decided to add a little splash of color with the die cut leaves. I think this adds to the focal point. I also decided to use a lighter blue to make it more fresh. I feel with the way I've laid out the label and placed the butterflies, now your eyes are drawn to the greeting, which is the focal point. You can get more details with my YouTube video.

Thanks so much for stopping in today. Let me know what you think of my overhauled card. I'd love to connect. Don't miss out on the great opportunities happening now. My birthday celebration is half-way over, but you still have lots of chances to win the $100 Stampin' Up! shopping spree.

The new August-December 2020 Mini catalog is going strong. Remember to use any Bonus coupons you earned in July now. There are so many great products in the new mini catalog. I have a couple of my own specials going on too. Interested in choosing free products for orders? Check out my Tic-Tac-Toe game.

Birds and Branches Stamp Set Spotlight by Stampin' Up!

Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for stopping in. I have lots of samples to show you today. I'm doing a Stamp Set Spotlight with the Birds and Branches set and coordinating dies. First I'll share some cards that other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators made.

Deborah Babcock made this cute card with blue birds. The focused on Misty Moonlight In Color for this. I just love the bird's nest stamp and die.

Ruth Tinkham and Susan Carlson created these to beautiful cards. I just love cute little birdies in both. The little blue eggs are so sweet!

Lori Jane Middlestadt made this card showing the cute speckled eggs. I like how she did that. I also like how Lori did the ribbon combo on her card.

For my Birds and Branches spotlight, I decided to use the Gold Cards and Envelopes on page 51 in the August - December 2020 Mini Catalog. These are so beautiful and help you create stunning cards.

I created a video to share how to make the wreath die a circle. Check it out to see how easy it is.

I hope you liked my project today. Be sure to check out a recent post on a chance to win a bundle. If you like crafting for fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving, you will want to get the September Paper Pumpkin Kit. Here are the details:
