Finding Inspiration Friday
Sailing Home Suite

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Friday! It's been a long week, but it's so nice that school has ended for most students and I can focus in on closing out my school year. That means more time for stamping. Maybe even sailing.

Today I am so inspired by the beautiful area where I live. There are lakes, inlets, and ocean. Sometimes at lunch, I'll drive a quick two minutes to Liberty Bay and watch the sailboats and other boaters on the water. It's so relaxing. When I was little, my dad built 2 sailboats that we sailed each summer at a beautiful place in Canada.

The Sailing Home Suite by Stampin' Up! is wonderful! The designer paper has such wonderful designs feeling quite vintage and more. How about that awesome anchor embellishment? There are anchors and ship wheels to add wow to your projects.

Another part of this suite that is fantastic for card making and memory keeping is the Come Sail Away Memories and More cards. Take a look.

These cards really give you a good look at the different parts of the suite or products. Be sure to check out all the products in the suite. You can now purchase all the products in the suite with one product number. Now you don't have to look up each part. You will want it all!

COME SAIL AWAY SUITE BUNDLE

Floating Frame Technique
Design for CTS Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for joining me today. If you follow me, you know I really like to submit to some sketch challenges. I like to use a template for inspiration and add my own stamps, colors, and techniques. My project today is for the Case This Sketch blog. It is the CTS 327 challenge.

This is a fun sketch. For my project, I decided to design my card while I was designing for my technique class on Floating Frames. What I really like about it is the fun tropical feel perfect for summer. My card also can be put into 2 directions and still look great. Here is my landscape version.

There are many more entries for you to see at CTS 327. Be sure to check them all out. There are so many great projects that all look so different even though they all followed the sketch.

Thanks again for stopping in. I hope you enjoyed my project and think about creating your own and entering. It's so much fun!

Over the Moon Monday

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my blog post this Monday. I am certainly "Over the Moon" with the new and super cute Over the Moon Stamp set by Stampin' Up! This set is sure to put a smile on anyone's face who receives a card. This project was created for my monthly club group that meets one Saturday a month and complete 4 projects.

This bovine beauty was colored with both Stampin' Blends and the Stampin' Write markers. I like to use both types of ink sometimes depending on color choices. I don't mix the two types together. I simply use them in place of one or the other.

One thing I do want you to notice is the high level of color coordination that Stampin' Up! is known for. One of my stampers continues to be so impressed on how awesome this is because it elevates your stamped projects. For this project, I used the new In-color Rococo Rose as well as the new In-Color DSP Stack. The flower and boots are also matching perfectly because I used the Rococo Rose Stampin' Write marker.

Okay, you think the front of the card is cute? How about this cutie inside? The cows in this set are so cute and when you begin to color it makes you giddy!

OVER THE MOON CLING STAMP SET
This set truly gets better with the sayings like "You're udderly fantastic" and "Cow's it going"? I just can't get enough.

Thanks again for stopping in today. I hope you find lots of creativity in your crafting.

Finding Inspiration Friday
Capture the Good

Hi Everyone,
I'm so glad you have visited today. I am so inspired by this first full day of summer. If you can believe, I have already bought and cut up 5 watermelons. It seems like every time I go to the grocery store, I pick one up. They have all been yummy!

My project for today has been inspired by my watermelon craze. These are my daughters, Julianne and Samantha. Julianne is the one with just one picture. She is so funny. My oldest and old soul. Samantha is quite different. She is very social and involved in many things. She also is totally into photography, so this page is perfect!

Capture the Good is a stamp set that was designed by fellow demonstrator, Tammy White. She got to design this set for reaching 2 million in sales. Yes, I know your mouth just dropped. That's a lot of stamps! The camera in this set is fantastic. I love how the different parts of the lens coordinate with our circle punches, so you can add lots of dimension.

The other great feature of this set is the variety of great "photo" type sayings. I love this one! You can stamp it as one saying, but think about cutting out each word after you stamp it and put each one on it's own. This is so much fun!

I know that my daughter Samantha will get lots of use out of this set too since she does a lot of photography. I was so happy to get this set and participate in a special that Tammy put out. Now I have another great set for my collection and plan to have many more times of inspiration.

Wonderful Daisy Lane

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited that you are here today! My Daisy Lane Specialty Class has been advertised for some time and it's finally here. There are so many wonderful projects to share with you that participants will be making tonight.

First off, who couldn't use some "Card Candy for a quick add on and focal point for your card or scrapbook page? These all feature the new Daisy Lane Stamp set by Stampin' Up! as well as the coordinating Daisy Delight Stamp set. You might notice one of the new In-Colors Purple Posy with the "Hello" tag. I also used the new Nesting Dies for the "Thinking of you" tag.

How about some more projects?

For this class, my participants are creating the "card candy", 3 cards, and 1 note pad holder. I want to share the 3 cards with you. I love this one with the Poppy Parade flowers and fun dotted background. I love yellow and this card highlights it well. My oldest daughter decided on my layering colors and I think she did a great job with Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzaz.

This next card was inspired by Karen deLatt. She posted a video showing how she got the adorable bunny from Fable Friends to hold the daisy. I really was inspired by Karen's card and created a variation of my own.

The colors for this card are Grapefruit Grove and Balmy Blue. They go really well together. I used Stampin' Blends for the bunny. I can't stop loving this bunny!

This next card is a shift from the other projects for the class. I decided to focus on the "fern" stamp and create a more masculine card. I wanted to show the versatility of the Daisy Lane stamp set. This project was also inspired by another demonstrator from Andrea Gutzner who is way over in Europe. It's amazing how social media brings us all together.

For this card, I wanted to focus on the new Woven Threads Trim from the new Annual Catalog. This is so beautiful and rich looking. It goes perfectly with the Sahara Sands cardstock. Try this card in any color combinations you like. It will look perfect.

For the last project in my Daisy Lane Specialty class, I wanted to give the participants a place to organize and identify their favorite products and techniques. Participants are creating their own Daisy Lane note book holder.

This project uses the clear mount stamp cases. From there, you just need a piece of beautiful DSP cut at 10 1/2" x 7" for the insert. I am using DSP from the Garden Lane Suite.

On this side, participants can tag pages in the catalog they really like and use the pocket for many things like stamps, envelopes, and more.

The note pad is the best. During classes, many of my stampers will write down notes for themselves like what colors or techniques are being used on their stamping mat, and then tear that part off to keep their note. Well this note pad is perfect now because all of their notes can be organized and kept together to refer back to.

Make it Monday
Soft Spring Host Set

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping in today. I hope your Father's Day was nice with your loved ones. My husband was spoiled for sure!

My project today is from a recent technique class I had. We focused on "Masking" and I used the new Birch background stamp as the sky. I think it worked out great. The new Host set called Soft Spring is fantastic. This is a 2-step stamp set where you have the outline images and then you can get automatic and easy color using the "fill-in" stamps for the leaves and flowers.

SOFT SPRING PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

You can see this set is beautiful. For my class, I had participants who stamped many different sentiments. We had "with Sympathy", "Thinking of You", "Happy Birthday", "Happy Retirement". There are many more too that can fit. I'm going to create several more projects and see how many different colors I could use.

This set is a Host Set. This means that it is only available when a minimum $150 party is reached. The host receives "host dollars" and can purchase any of the host sets, which are only available to them as host.

If you like this host set, think about having your own party. You can ask your demonstrator, or if you don't have one, I can give a personal host code for your family and friends to shop on-line and you can earn free products as well as this Soft Spring set. If you have visited my blog before, you have seen me use hostess codes to apply towards a party. It's easy too. Let me know if you'd like my help to earn this stamp set as a host.

If you are in need of any products you can place an order online. I appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator. Be sure to use the current hostess code #4MSHV9MR when placing your order.

If you place a $150 order, don't use the hostess code. You qualify for your own hostess benefits. Please do not mark "No Contact" when you order. I won't be able to contact you to award you with Loyalty Bucks or prizes.

Finding Inspiration Friday
Sketch Challenge Winner

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for joining me today. I wanted to celebrate those stampers who entered my sketch challenge I recently posted. It was based on an old sketch challenge from 2017 by the "Case This Sketch" blog. I had 3 entries for this challenge I put out and 1 lucky winner will receive a package of clear faceted gems.

The winner is: Kathy Beemer

Kathy's card is wonderful! I love how she sponged different colors on the die-cut flowers. I will be ordering and shipping the faceted gems to Kathy for her win.

This beautiful butterfly project was created by Bea Putnam. Her cluster of butterflies add quite a sparkle.

Linda's project is done in my favorite color, yellow. I really like the contrast between the black and yellow. It's striking.

I want to thank these stampers for submitting to my challenge. There are so many wonderful sketch challenges out there, so look for others you can join into. It's a lot of fun!

A Fun Catalog Open House

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping in on this really warm day we have in the Pacific Northwest. I had a fantastic weekend with a really fun Stampin' Up! Catalog Open House that I hosted. My guests were treated with 3 make-n-takes, door prizes, and a catalog survival kit. I hope you enjoy some of my pictures from the event.

The make-n-take projects created were to share some of the new colors and products I wanted to be sure to share. First off are the really cute scalloped edged note cards and matching envelopes. I used the Time for Tags Host Stamp set for this card. Each person was able to customize their card with whichever stamp they liked best.

Of course, I had to focus on Stampin' Up! new In-Colors. These 5 colors are fantastic. It's hard to pick my favorite one. Everyone got to create an In-Color bookmark. We also added new In-Color linen ribbon.

All my open house participants were able to look at new products that I had laid out by bundles or suites. We then used many new products for the make-n-take stations. I have a pretty big workshop room, so it works out great to have several stations for stamping.

It was so fun to create Catalog Survival bags for everyone. I think the favorite item was the 100 Grand chocolate bar. We all wish we had that to spend on our wish lists. The catalog scavenger hunt was put together for additional prizes. This was a fun way to get everyone into the catalog.

Thanks again for stopping in. If you don't have a new Stampin' Up! annual catalog, I'm happy to send you one. Simply email me at: lennyandmary1@msn.com with your mailing information and I'll get a catalog right out to you. I'll even include the "Catalog Survival Kit" to you too.

If you are in need of any products you can place an order online. I appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator. Be sure to use the current hostess code #4MSHV9MR when placing your order. As a thank you for your order, I will send you a set of 3 hand stamped cards with envelopes.

If you place a $150 order, don't use the hostess code. You qualify for your own hostess benefits. Please do not mark "No Contact" when you order. I won't be able to contact you to award you with Loyalty Bucks or prizes.

Remember that when you order on-line, you can earn "Loyalty Bucks". For every $25.00 you order, you receive 1 loyalty buck. Collect 20 loyalty bucks and you receive $30.00 free merchandise. Be sure to comment and share this blog. I'd love to hear from you.
