Holiday Catalog Count Down with
Cup of Christmas

Hi Everyone,
It's so hard to believe that the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog is just 2 days away! I have one more sneak peek to share with you before the big day arrives. Stampin' Up! is sharing something new. It's reversible stamping with one stamp. That's right, with one stamp you can flip it over right on your block and stamp a reverse image.

For my project today, I created a gift card holder perfect for the holidays. You can put in that coffee card for your favorite co-worker or friend with this fun holder. I used the Cup of Christmas Stamp set that includes the new reversible stamps.

As you can see, the photopolymer stamp is flat with the holes through it for the pattern. This works perfectly for reversible stamping because there are no textures. It's like Silhouette stamps. How quick and easy is it to flip the stamp over onto the block now for that perfect reversed image.

The cups on the front of my gift card holder were made from each side of one stamp and then cut out using the Cup of Cheer dies. It is so fun using this stamp set and coordinating dies. The candy cane is really fun to make. To make this diagonal fold gift card holder:
  • 1 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock for the base
  • Score at 5 1/2" (11" side) and 4 1/4" (8 1/2" side)
  • Then but that piece of 8 1/2" piece of cardstock along the diagonal.
  • You will have 2 bases for your gift card holder.
  • For the layers inside the card, simply cut the black cardstock 5 1/4" x 4" for the inside of the card and then a Whisper White layer at 5" x 3 3/4"
  • For the outside layers. Cut Whisper White at 5" x 3 3/4". Then cut along the diagonal. Now you have 2 triangle for the front.
  • Cut your favorite holiday DSP to 4 3/4" x 3 1/2". The cut along the diagonal.
  • BE CAREFUL: If you have DSP with images that need to be a certain direction, you have to really think about which way you cut the diagonal. Be sure to test it out.

I hope you are as excited as I am for all the wonderful projects in this Holiday catalog. I have my annual Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Open House this weekend and plan to have lots of prizes, make-n-takes, and more. If you are in the Western Washington area, I'd love to have you come by. Need a holiday catalog? I'm happy to send you one.

What else is coming with the new Holiday Catalog? The annual Designer Series Paper promotion. Beginning September 4th, you can stock up on your favorite DSPs. Gather friends and share the fun too. I want one of every pack on sale!

It's been a great day for stamping and gearing up for my open house this weekend. I'm trying to decide which products to use the the make-n-takes. There are just so many wonderful things to choose from!

Thanks again for coming by today. I know fall is creeping up on us and it's never too soon to start to spook. Speaking of spooky, have you heard about the September Paper Pumpkin kit?
