It's a Few of My Favorites

With the New Year upon us, it's time to reflect on a few of my favorite creations. My family celebrated my daughter's Sweet 16 as well as a stay in Hawaii for my daughter's dance company. My nephew also got married. These occasions certainly helped me get into some creativity in stamping. I hope you enjoy.

In it's closed position hiding the birthday surprise.
Surprise!

I love using DSP and the balloon punch for the perfect pop
on this 3-D creation
Samantha loves her special card!

Well before Sam's Sweet 16, our family flew to Hawaii for her dance company trip. This dance group takes a great trip every two years. We were lucky to be able to go. While there, my other daughter, Julianne celebrated her 18th birthday. I used the Botanical Gardens bundle for her card (Retired). I hope you enjoy.

These colors fit our trip to Hawaii

The heart of our trip was for my daughter to have some great experiences with her dance company. They go to workshops, perform at places, and well just have some fun. I captured a few pictures to keep these memories. Project Life by Stampin' Up! makes everything so easy.  Enjoy!

There was so much fun during this dance company trip. Samantha really enjoyed
 hanging out with her friends

The Project Life cards are great to layer, slip
right in a slot, or even cut out shapes from the
cards

The weather and plants were amazing. The
girls also loved learning to dance. I really like
the enamel shapes Stampin' Up! offers
One of the most recent events was my nephew, Wyatt's wedding. It was a very small wedding in a cabin. This lent itself to a country kind of feel. I knew that I wanted to create something special for them. I found this chicken wire heart (I love hearts!) and knew I had to have this. I hope you get some ideas for decor too.

Soft Subtles is the perfect color group for this nod to love.
I love the Butterflies Thinlits You can use the Big Shot
to cut and create flowers. I did for a few that you see

Using pearls and the Layered Alphebet stamp set creates a
great focal point

I can't leave until I share 2 of my favorite hand stamped projects with you. I can't tell you how much I love Stampin' Up! Hostess only sets. Love You Lots is in the current Annual catalog and is my all time favorite.

There is wonderful texture to this elephant. I also love
Washi Tape
I love how you can completely change a look by using
accessories as well as the striking DSP (another of my faves).
You can find the Affectionately yours DSP on the
Close-out sale through January 3rd

I hope you have enjoyed a few of my favorite projects I have made in the past year. Now it's time to look to the New Year with the wonderful things Stampin' Up! has to offer as well as my own specials just for you. You are just in time for Sale-A-Bration. It is the most wonderful time of the year. Be sure to check back for more ideas.

Let's Get Christmas On
Time to get working on your holiday list

A perfect project using punches
Hi Everyone,

It is definitely time to get working on your holiday projects from cards to tags and bags, this is the season to put on that wonderful music and get crafting! I was just at a fun scrapbooking event with friends. We got together to work on projects. I share my Project Life things and had two "make-n-take" projects to share. Boy there were some wonderful people there really creating wonderful memories.

The "make-n-takes" I shared were two simple Christmas cards that were quick and easy to make. The angel card gave everyone a chance to do a little coloring with pencils and blender pens. I love my blender pens!

Washi Tape is perfect for texture

Watercolor pencils and shimmer!

Okay, but how great are these yummy cookies! Heather brought
these to share at the event. She loves to create.

It certainly was a nice day getting to know other great crafters. I'm inspired to get more into my Project Life memory keeping.

Have you gotten out your supplies and created a card using DSP and the template I previously mentioned in my blog? It's your chance to win a free pack of DSP. As you know, Stampin' Up! has a DSP sale through the month of October. Purchase 3 sets of DSP and you get one free. This is a great offer, but I am giving free DSP if you send me a card designed and win. Don't miss out!

Fall is in the Air with World Card Making Day
and
Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Thanks for joining us in another Blogging Friends Blog Hop. We are demonstrators from all over the world who love Stampin' Up! and creativity. There is no better time than the fall season as kids get back into school, leaves change colors, and the weather gets a little crisp. In the Pacific Northwest, we begin to see more gray in the sky too. This month we are celebrating the Holiday Catalog as well as World Card Making Day. I hope you enjoy all the posts you visit today. Simply click on the icon below or a person's name to continue in the hop.

For my projects, I really wanted to focus on Halloween. I love October and the excitement of pumpkin patches and trick-or-treating. My daughters are 19 and 16, so they really don't dress up and go out trick-or-treating, but my 16 year old is excited to host a party this year with a friend. I hope you enjoy my "trick-or-treat" projects.

Be sure to share and leave a comment for your chance to win the Mini Tassels in the current holiday catalog. When commenting, include #minitassels to enter your name. Please leave your e-mail address so I can connect with you to give you your prize.

First I wanted to share this fun Spooky Night card. You might have seen my recent blog with a card my sister-n-law did with the owl punch. I decided to do my own and added some more details to step it up. Aren't these ghosts cute?

This is the cutest and simple treat pouch I made.

Using Stampin' Up's Craft Tag a Bag bags, simply fold 2/3
the way to the top. I added the cute bats as an accent.

Measure and adhere the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper to
the folded flap with Fast Fuse so it holds well.

Add more details and dimension with the Halloween
Night Specialty Designer Series paper

Add a fun insert with a Halloween treat greeting
from the Spooky Fun Stamp set.

Embellish with a spooky scene using Spooky Fun Stamp set
 and the Halloween Scenes Edgelits.

Well there you have it. These cute treat pouches will be so much fun at my daughter's party with her friend. We will be putting in a lot of work on our Big Shot machine! Now it's time for you to see what the other Blogging Friends have created. Be sure to comment and share my blog with a friend. Congrats to Catie Palmer, who won my give-a-way last month. Will you be this month's winner? Simply comment using #minitassels for your chance to win a free packet of the tassels. There will be one winner. Be sure to leave your name and e-mail address so I can connect to send you your free gift.

The Weather is a Changing

Hi Everyone,

The weather has been changing, and I've noticed our days getting shorter. That time for gathering with friends and creating wonderful stamped projects is certainly here. One of the things I just love is getting together with my friends to have a "shoe box swap". This gives my friends and customers a chance to be the idea maker. Each person designs a card and then puts all the supplies in a box so that everyone else can make their card. We come together with snacks to share and just have a great time trading boxes and creating. I wanted to share some of the projects that were created.

I really love the Christmas Pines Set. We set our
shoebox swap for fall to Christmas. This was my project
I wanted to share a video of Kris Miller sharing her project that is a holiday one using the Christmas Pines bundle. Enjoy.

Christ created this fall card. I love the gold accents

My sister-n-law Arla created this fun and shimmery card
using the owl punch for the ghosts
What a fun trick or treat project.

These cute shimmery ghosts were made by Bea

I love the puffy mummy!

This Halloween witch looks like it's up to something.
This project was created by Bunny
As you can see I have lots of Halloween fans that are stamping friends. I really wanted to do Halloween too, but I know there would be plenty, so I opted for the fall with the Christmas Pines bundle. If you have any Halloween fall or Halloween projects you'd like to share, I'd be happy to post. Simply contact me at lennyandmary1@msn.com or my Facebook page.

You can still use this month's Hostess Code ATFF92YD to have a chance at Mystery Hostess. If you are chosen, you will get all of the hostess benefits for the party total. When shopping on-line, be sure to use the hostess code so your order will be linked. For every $25.00 you spend, your name goes into the drawing.

I hope you enjoyed these projects. Leave a comment or share with a friend. I hope to see some of your creations as well.

Happy Stampin',
