Create Beautiful Card with the Darling Details Bundle

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in. I'm so excited about my blog today since I finally got the dies that go with the Darling Details Stamp set. For some reason when I orderd, I missed putting the bundle # in. I missed out of a 10% discount because when you purchase a bundle with Stampin' Up!, there is a 10% discount.

The Darling Detail Bundle is found on page 68 in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. Thes fun flowers and versitile dies will have you stamp the night away. The cards I created during my Facebook Live all feature the fabulous dies. I hope you enjoy my cards. I'd love to know which is your favorite.

My first card shows off the super cute 2-step stamping flowers. I just love the types of flowers that are flirty and fun. The Darling Details Border die is so cool! You can weave ribbon through it for a Wow look. The DSP is from the Earthen Elegance 12" x 12" DSP. I also used the Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon.

I just can't get enough of the Cheerful Daisies Suite of products. The Darling Details frame is so perfect for this card. I just love the bright and happy colors.

My last card is just about my favorite. I created this using some scraps of DSP that needed a use. Notecards & Envelopes are the perfect size when using up your scraps. For the interesting outer scallop of the frame for this card was created by putting both frame dies through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine at the same time. The center flowers are two of the flower dies stacked on each other.

Thanks again for stopping in today. Okay, have you decided on your favorite card from today? Leave a comment and let me know. You may also be interested in a couple of promotions that are ending very soon.

Be sure to check out details on my Cheerful Daisies Specialty Class. It is happening at the end of July, but kits will be selling out fast! Check out my blog post for this class for details on how to register for the In Person or To Go options.

Come back and visit soon.

Create a Beautiful Easel Card with Horse & Sleigh Suite and Onlne Exclusive Products

 Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today for my blog. Today I'm sharing a couple of cards my Stampin' Café Team got to create when we had a team gathering. I shared a couple of new and upcoming Online Exclusive products with them. These included the Timeless Charms Bundle and the Horse & Sleigh Suite.

The Horse & Sleigh Suite of products and just so wonderful! What I really like is the One Horse Open Sleigh 6"x6" Desinger series paper. The snow scenes are beautiful and can be the main focal point of your holiday cards easily.

This notecard is super cute with the polka dot DSP and the Radiating Stitched rectange. For this card, I used the Timeless Charm dies for the beautifully detailed flower die. There are many dies you can add your own creativity with with cardstock or DSP. Timeless Charm is a bundle with a stamp set and coordinating dies.

This card is special. it is an Easel Card. This will stand up to be on display on someone's special desk or table. I used all of the products in the suite. I stamped onto the beautiful pices of DSP and used the snow dies and the tree die.

It's easy to create an easel card. For this card I cut a piece of Misty Moonlight at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2" like a standard A2 sized card. Then I scored at 2 3/4 for the "flap" or front of card that the front panels will be secured to. For an easel card, you will want something that will stop the card from simply folding down. I used a 1" x 3 3/4" strip of Pecan Pie and and layer of DSP. I glued that to the bottom of the inside of the card. This acts as a "stopper". If you want the Easel card to stand up taller, simply make the inside "stopper" wider.

The colors in the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP include such rich and beautiful colors like Boho Blue, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie, and many more. I used the Misty Moonlight and Pecan Pie as a pairing. They go so well together. You can watch my video on how I created this Easel Card and the techniques I used. You will also be able to see how to find the Online Exclusive products on Stampin' Up!.

These new Online Exclusive products will be available to customers on July 6th. If you want them now, you can add them to a Starter Kit by joining my team with Stampin' Up! and get more products in your kit this month only. Remember that there is a 15% off sale on Designer Series Paper too, so you can get even more products for the joining special.

Be sure to mark your calendar for July 6th to see what else might be available in additon to the ones I shared today. I can see a sneak peek of a couple of must haves that will be released on July 6th and they will get ordered so quickly, so be sure to shop right away to get a heads start to your holiday crafting.

Designer Series Pocket Cards - Perfect for all Sorts of Gifts

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today. I recently did a Facebook Live for these super cute "pocket cards". I shared several ideas for these too. I hope you read on for some super great ideas. You can create your own with just one sheet of designer series paper.

This first design was created for my Stampin' Café Team gathering. I saw my friend, Rachel from @sweetbeadesignsco create a "pocket card" for her pen pals using designer series papers. I thought it would be so fun to make these for my Café team filled with cardmaking supplies.

For the fun "card candy" I added some ovals, die cut flowers and leaves, and punched out shapes to be used on upcoming projects. You will have three pockets when you create this "pocket card". Here are some more ideas for these.

This one is so special for that tea lover. I started the day with a Lemon Zinger Herbal blend. Then a mid-day pick up with Tumeric energy. Finally, in the last pocket, some SleepyTime tea for a good nights rest. I'm going to send this off to my far away friend, Cindi. She joins me on Facebook each week and she loves tea. It's perfect!

This designer series paper is a blast from the past. Do you remember what it was called? It was Afternoon Picnic. I just love the vintage look of this designer series paper. I also used the retired Tea Together Bundle.

Now think about the holidays coming and create a perfect hot cocoa kit. The designer series paper for this pocket gift was the Santa's Workshop from last years holiday catalog.

You may have done a double take when you looked at this super cute hot cocoa "pocket card" kit. I filled it with hot chocolate, candy canes, and marshmallows. It is larger than my previous ideas. I'll share the measures for each below. You can watch my video for a tutorial on how to make them.

To make this standard "pocket card", here is what you need.
  • 1 sheet of designer series paper
  • Cut 2 pieces measuring 4" x 12" (pay attention to the DSP and if it has a specific way of going)
  • Cut 1 piece measuring 4" x 8" (the left over piece can be used for the front of the card or accents inside of the card)
You can decide to make the front and back of your "pocket card" with the same designer paper (DSP), or use a coordinating designer series paper. I like that I can use one sheet of DSP to create one.

To make this larger "pocket card", you will need more than one sheet of DSP. Here is what you need.
  • 2 sheets of DSP cut at 6" x 12"
  • 1 piece of DSP cut at 6" x 8"
To know how to create your "pocket card" when you have your DSP cut, you can watch my video. It is really easy to put together. You just need a circle punch and liquid glue.

Thanks again for stopping in. I hope you are thinking of some ways to create these "pocket cards". It's a great way to use that wonderful designer series paper. Now is the perfect time for these with the 15% off DSP sale this month.

Stampin' Saturday with Bird's Eve View Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another wonderful Stampin' Saturday. Today I've been inspired by a card I received quite awhile ago. I just like the way the card was layed out and the sampling of a bit of designer series paper.

This Poppy Parade card caught my eye and I thought it would be fun to create a card with the same layout idea. I just got the new Bird's Eye View stamp set and thought it would be fun to play with it.

Here it is. This super cute card was created using Fresh Freesia as the main color and a sampling of the Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series paper (DSP). I just love all of the images in the Bird's Eye View stamp set.

Stampin' Blends were used for coloring. I can't get enough of coloring with Stampin' Blends. It comes out so smooth when you color and shading is so fun.

One thing to note is that the Bird's Eye View stamp set has not sentiments. For my card today, I used Cirlce Sayings and this inside sentiment came from Charming Sentiments stamp set. I love that I can pull out other stamp sets to combine with the Bird's Eye View stamp set for the occasion I need.

It was fun creating with inspiration from another card. I want to inspire you to create too, so I'm putting out this challenge.

  • Create your own card inspired by this layout.
  • Send me a photo of your card through email or upload to my Stampin' Spot FB page. You can comment under the shared post that I do with this blog.
  • Upload your creation to me by June 30th
When you send me your card, you can win a sampling of the Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" DSP. There may be more than one winner depending on the number of cards that are shared with me.

The Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" DSP is a package of 48 sheets. You get 4 each of 12 double sided designs. That's a lot of crafting fun! I will cut the sampling to 6" x 6" sized pieces.

I hope you create and send me your card from my challenge. I'd love to see what you design. Crafting and sharing is a great way to connect. Remember you have until June 30th to get your card to me through email or my Stampin' Spot FB page.

Stamp Set Spotlight - Inked & Tiled

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today. It's such a wonderful time of year as the school year winds down and we think of fun in the sun and sand. One of the things I love in stamping are those stamp sets that are kind of like "sketchy" or a bit softened or vintage like. The Inked & Tiled stamp set is just that. I love the almost watercolor look of the stamps. Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I've created using this stamp set.

This first card is a fun fold card that has a belly band to hold the card closed. It's special when someone removes the belly band and sees the special fold with a nice sentiment. Here are the measurements to create this card yourself. You an use any designer series papers (15% off most desginer series papers going on through June).

Calypso Coral Base: 5 ½” x 11” ● 1” x 9 ½” for belly band Score at: 1 ¾”, 5 ½”, 9 ¾” DSP Layers: ● 5 ¼” x 1 ⅛” ● 5 ¼” x 3 ½” ● 5 ¼” x 1 ½” Basic White (inside): 5 ¼” x 3 ⅞” 2 3/8" Circle Punch 2 1/4" Circle Punch Additional Calypso Coral, basic white, and other CS for label and accents.

I love this card I created! One thing I love is monochromatic stamping. This is when you focus on one color or shades of one color. I just am drawn to that style. I do have a bit of other colors, but the rich Lost Lagoon color in the Inked Botanical designer series paper is so nice and definately the star of the show. Calyso Coral and Crushed Curry play supporting roles. Not sure why I made an acting analogy, but you know what I mean.

I mentioned the Designer Series Paper Sale earlier. This sale is on for the month of June. You can enjoy 15% off most of the designer series papers (the 6" x 6" color group assorments are not on sale). Designer series papers are my favorite. You can use the designer series paper (DSP) as your color muse. Whenever I use DSP, I look at what colors are in the paper and let that be my guide for cardstock and ink colors for my project. DSP can create richness and interest in your projects. It also helps you create quick wow cards in a snap. I'll be sharing a fabulous DSP focused pocket card for all sort of occasions very soon, so be sure to come back soon.

You might be interesed in the Inked & Tiled Suite. This suite comes with the beautiful Inked and Tiled Stamp set, Inked Botanicals 6" x 6" Designer Series paper, and the beautiful Lost Lagoon 1/4" Bordered Ribbon (this ribbon is so nice). The punches create such interesting geometric accents to your projects.

To see the cards I created in action, you can click on the video below with more details on the Designer Series Paper Share.

Thanks again for joining me today. I hope I've inspired you to create something beautiful with DSP. Try out that monochromatic style. I'd love to see what you create.

Until next time... Happy Stampin',
