Finding Inspiration Friday
Collage Stamping

Hi Everyone,
Well it's my favorite day of the week, Friday! It's the last day of the work week and I can plan all my stamping classes and events over the weekend. Friday finds me very inspired by all the things I see around me.

I have really been inspired by Collage Stamping. this is where you stamp many types of images with different intensity of color and then add a focal point. This technique creates such wonderful backgrounds. You will find projects have a vintage or antique feel when you do collage stamping.

For this first project I used the Rooted in Nature stamp set with the coordinating dies as well as the Birch Background stamp. I also used several colors for this card. Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry are the four colors used.

For my projects today, I was completely inspired by a small calendar I have. What's funny is that I have this exact calendar in the large size in my kitchen. I didn't even know that I bought the same calendar. I guess that's how much I like it.

The pages are all so beautiful! I love this nature one with the rabbit and dragonfly. It reminds me of spring and Easter (even though it's the page for January).

You can see all the months of this calendar and get so inspired by the stamps that Stampin' Up! offers. There is a poppy month for February and there are lots of butterflies and birds. I think the December page with the cardinals is gorgeous! I am thinking of  an idea for Christmas already!

Another project I wanted to share with you is using a stamp set that is almost my favorite in the annual catalog. It's the Very Versailles Stamp set. I coordinated it with the greetings from the Fanciful Fragrance stamp set. Both of these sets go great together.

Because this card has a lot of antique feel, I included the Detailed Bands dies which adds so much to the card. My color choices were Terracotta Tile and Mossy Meadow. These colors work so well together!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today and are also inspired by them or the beautiful calendar images I shared to create your own collage stamped projects. Thanks so much for stopping in. I love to share my love for stamping.

Make it Monday
Honeybee Heaven!

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping in today. I wanted to share my love of the Honey Bee Bundle and FREE Golden Honey DSP. For class this past week, I featured the Honey Bee stamp set and we all really enjoyed creating.

I used the Sponge Brayer to tone down the black and white stripes from the Golden Honey DSP. I used Highland Heather ink for the bees and sponging. A little Dazzling Diamonds Stamping Glitter makes everything better.

For this card, I also sponged using Melon Mambo ink. I wanted to get a light to dark look, so you achieve that by the amount of pressure you give while you are sponging. Aren't the flowers and little bee so cute!?

This is such a wonderful card! I was inspired by another card I saw on Pinterest. I decided to have the bee tending the hive on this one. I really like the flowers and the opposite direction that they go in.

The Subtle 3-D Embossing folder was used to get the texture on the top layer of the card. It really gives a great look.

These cards were so much fun! The Golden Honey DSP is FREE with a minimum $50 order. There are so many wonderful designs in the pack.

Finding Inspiration Friday
Beautiful Friendship

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my Finding Inspiration! Today I wanted to share a few projects featuring my favorite stamp set in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. It's called Beautiful Friendship and is is the best set ever for creating quick and beautiful cards. I put out a fun contest to friends to see what their favorite stamp set is and if theirs matched mine, they would win a prize. Well my stamping friend, Cheryl guessed and won.

The great thing about this set, is that you can choose any colors and your card will be so stunning with just stamps, ink, and paper. This is my favorite flower in the set. With just one stamp with ink, this flowers comes out already multi-colored. WOW! This soft springtime card is awesome with just a few accenting sequins.

This card is perfect with Real Red and Cherry Cobbler. It is so rich and the added embellishments are great! I love the center of the flowers stamp. It's amazing how much depth it gives the flowers.

By combining the different flowers in the set, you end up with such a beautiful card. The layers of Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry go so well together. This card reminds me of the holidays. Cajun Craze was brought in for the sprigs and it's perfect!

This card is so cool how the flowers were stamped in a wreath and then features the greeting front and center. Highland Heather and Lovely Lipstick was used for the flowers with Granny Apple Green leaves. I can see this card being used for many occasions.

BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

I hope I've inspired you to stamp some of your own projects using your favorite stamp set. I'm going to create several projects using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. I want to create the same card using the 2019-2020 In-Colors to see how the feel of the card changes with colors like the cards above, but this time, keep the stamping the same and just change the colors.

Thanks so much for stopping in. I love to share my love for stamping. Weekly Wednesday
Positive Thoughts Class

Hi Everyone,
Oh you couldn't have picked a better time to stop in for my blog today. I am sharing some wonderful projects from my Positive Thoughts Specialty Class I held last Sunday. With the coordinating Nature's Thoughts dies, this is the perfect match for perfect projects. I hope you enjoy your visit.

For this first project, I just love the monochromatic theme of Crushed Curry! The designer series paper is the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP. It is the perfect background for this card. I cut the DSP to 5" x 3 3/4". Then I trimmed the strips to just a little over 1 1/8". You will have a little strip left to recycle onto a new project.

Don't forget that the inside of your card is just as special as the outside. I was able to get varying depth of the Crushed Curry by stamping once and then stamping again without reinking.

This project was inspired by a card done by Dena Rekow, a fellow demonstrator. I really liked her take on one stand out feather. This is a great card for any occasion.

Spring is just around the corner, and this card is all about sunshine! I used Grapefruit Grove as the base of this card and the color for the script and flowers. The script is from Very Versailles stamp set found in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

I really like the little flower die (yellow). It can be a great center to the large flower or as accenting flowers like this card. I also really like the little butterfly.

This last project is all about the "Avid" Stamper! It has so many wonderful things to share about. I used the 3-D Scripty Embossing Folder for both Whisper White pieces. I stamped and cut 2 Smoky Slate flowers and used a black Stampin' Write Marker to give the flowers an interesting center. I also used the Stitched Rectangle dies

I give the focal piece a watercolor wash with Mint Macaron Ink. These colors are so soft and perfect for any occasion. An anniversary or wedding wishes would be great too!

I shared another project using these products last week. I shared projects from my weekly class using stencils. If you didn't have a chance to see that post, you might like to pop over and see it.
