Wonderful Wednesday
Global Design Challenge #140

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for joining my blog today. I usually post about my weekly stamp classes, but I won't have them for a couple of weeks. I have a graduating senior with many events with school going on that create conflicts. Instead, I decided to CASE for the Global Design Project

This week it's all about CASEing Brian King's design. He was thrilled to be chosen as the demonstrator to CASE. I agree. I feel like Brian is such a wonderful designer. His designs are always clean and beautiful. He featured the wonderful new Southern Serenade stamp set. Here is Brian's original card.
http://www.global-design-project.com/2018/05/global-design-project-case-designer.html
For my card, I used the Love What you Do stamp set as well as a few other wonderful products coming to the new catalog. From new embossing folders to new dies and punches, this new catalog is sure to please every stamper.

What is CASEing?  When we C.A.S.E. (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit), we find inspiration in a project – theme, color combinations, layout, products used – and create our own project by making changes to make it our own.  When CASEing, it’s important to give credit to the original designer. I was inspired by my project from another stamper, Donna Ross.

Well it's time for you to hop on over to The Global Design Project and see what others have created for this week's design challenge. One person will be selected to be a guest designer for the next 6 months. Maybe you would like to submit a project.

Thanks so much for stopping by. If you are in need of any products you can place an order online. I appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator. Be sure to use my May Hostess Code #QBD6N6VE for your chance to win hostess rewards This chance ends in just a couple of days. A minimum $25.00 qualifies you. If you place a $150 order, don't use the hostess code. You qualify for your own hostess benefits. Please do not mark "No Contact" when you order. I won't be able to contact you if you win the May Hostess.

Remember that when you order on-line, you can earn "Loyalty Bucks". For every $25.00 you order, you receive 1 loyalty bucks. Collect 20 loyalty bucks and you receive $30.00 free merchandise. Be sure to comment and share this blog. I'd love to hear from you. You can subscribe at the top of my blog.

It's Time to Case this Sketch

Hi Everyone,

It's another fun Case this Sketch design challenge. I love the clean and simple theme. Sometimes cards that are simple and clean are stunning. Today, I decided to try my hand at this design challenge. The stamp set I chose was the Floral Statements set by Stampin' Up! This is such the perfect stamp for a stunning look. I decided to simply accent with strips of Pick a Pattern Washi Tape.

I Decided that i wanted the "Hello" to stand out a bit more, so I cut roughly around it and mounted it with dimensionals. I used mini pearls for the center of the flowers. Doesn't the washi tape go well with the black lettering?

I hope you enjoyed my design today. Take some time to see other designs submitted for the CTS273 card challenge. Remember that there are just a few more days to get your favorite products before they are retired.

If you are in need of any products you can place an order online. I appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator. Be sure to use my May Hostess Code #QBD6N6VE for your chance to win hostess rewards This chance ends in just a couple of days. Finding Inspiration Friday
Freshly Made Sketches 338

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today to visit. I love finding inspiration on Fridays. Today I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches. I love the template they shared for this week's challenge.

I decided to use the retiring Feather Together Stamp set as well as one of Stampin' Up's retiring colors Peekaboo Peach. This set is a multi-step stamp for layers of the feathers, but I like to use them by themselves. I think it gives the leaves a great look.

Feather Together Photopolymer Stamp Set

Feather Together has wonderful sentiments for many occasions. It's perfect for masculine cards as well. This set is about to be retired and is only available through May 31st.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope I've inspired you to create as well. This is the last week to get any of the retiring products you need. There are many things at a discounted price, so check out the deals before they disappear. One important thing are the reinkers and cardstock of your favorite colors.

If you are in need of any products you can place an order online. I appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator. Wonderful Wednesday
Weekly Class

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today for my Weekly Wednesday Blog. Today I wanted to share a couple of the projects we did for weekly class. Best Birds is a wonderful stamp set with Birds and Bloom Thinlits. I haven't had this bundle for too long, and when I took it out to create, I had a blast.

My weekly class has been highlighting Stampin' Up! colors that are retiring. This project uses Tangerine Tango Cardstock and the Petal Garden DSP stack. These are retiring with just about a week left to order. The greeting comes out of the Petal Palette Stamp set. One thing I really like about the Best Bird bundle is that the framelits help to create such perfect di-cuts.

Island Indigo is another retiring color this month. I paired it with Basic Black to highlight the Petal Passion DSP (also retiring). The Layering Ovals and the Classic Label Punch were also used. I colored the images using the watercolor pencils and Blender Pens. by mixing a couple of colors, I managed to get the bird wings to match the Island Indigo Cardstock.

My color choices were Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist, and Blushing Bride. Stampin' Up! is having a color revamp, so there is just a week to get the colors that are retiring.

Finding Inspiration Friday
Card Design Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for stopping by today on Finding Inspiration Friday. Today is all about the CTS #272 Design challenge. Chrissy Larson was the designer for this template. Today is my second time I'm inspired to create using this sketch.

I really love trying different techniques and this project really was a lot of fun! I used the Colorful Seasons Stamp set and then pulled a few re-inker colors for this technique.

Once I had my colors chosen, I simply dropped a few drops of ink onto a baby wipe. Then I inked the stamp with the baby wipe and then onto the paper. Every time you do this, you will get a slightly different color affect for each leaf. Be sure to check out the other entries to the CTS 272 Sketch Challenge

Feeling Inspired? Give this template challenge a try. Enter your own project to win  a package of the new Pearlized Doilies coming in the new annual catalog. Here are the details.

  • Create a project using the template as inspiration

Wonderful Wednesday
A Fun Stampin' Open House

Hi Everyone,

I am so glad you stopped by to visit today! I wanted to share the fun from my recent Annual Catalog open house. I had so many friends stop by and stamp with new products and won prizes. We had such a great time.

In my workshop, I have tables set up for 8 stampers. I can do up to 12 to 16 depending on the events. I have a weekly stamp class and I usually have 8, so I don't have to rearrange. These tables are set up for guest to be able to sit and enjoy projects. For the open house I made 2 make-n-takes for stampers.

For this duo, I used the upcoming hostess set, Very Vintage. It is beautiful. I used Flirty Flamingo Cardstock with the wonderful new dotted ribbon.

Also coming in the new annual catalog are the wonderful Delightfully Detailed Note Cards and Envelopes. They are beautiful! You get 20 note cards that have a watercolor base. For this project, we used the Love what you Do stamp set and the tags from the Share What you Love Embellishment kit. Of course I had to add the Artisan Pearls too.

Bea was a lucky prize winner twice. She decided on the Love What you Do stamp set and coordinating Share What you Love Embellishment kit. Christi is in awe of the new catalog. She already has her wish list started. Guests were able to peek into the new catalogs.

You can order the Share What you Love Suite in May

Wonderful Wednesday
Weekly Class

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today for my Weekly Wednesday post. This week's class is all about the Barn Door Bundle. The stamp set and coordinating famelits are fantastic! I was inspired by another demonstrator, Julie Davidson, and I CASED a couple of her projects. I decided to use colors that are being discontinued and feature them in this class.

Barn Door Clear-Mount Bundle

You can see how wonderful this bundle is. When you first look at the framelits, you are amazed that the one that cuts out the track really cuts it out right. Perspective is so interesting. I love that the framelits also have 2 of the roller pieces. That makes things so easy.

The sliding door is the most popular designs with this bundle. It is so interesting and looks really complicated. Many people like to use metal washers to mount onto the rail, but I simply used a 1/4" circle punch. You will need 2 for each rail top and bottom. Then I used mini dimensionals to adhere the circles together. The dimensional is the space between the circles. Then the door is attached with another dimensional. Now the door slides back and forth. Isn't the puppy cute? I used Soft Sky and Crumb Cake (not retiring). The wreath is made with Wild Wasabi and Rose Red flowers.

Even though it looks like Christmas colors (I didn't even connect it) this card is a fun little message behind the door. Then the note can be written inside the card. I used Wild Wasabi and Rose Red again. I just love the door with the wreath. It is great that there are 2 wreath stamps for variety. The Real Red piece was embossed using the Simple Stripes Embossing folder

Last but not least, the last card for class is a special folds card. The barn doors are stamped and cut out. Then they are mounted onto a piece of cardstock measuring 9" X 3 3/8". Then score at 2 1/4" at each end. The card is mounted on Rose Red for the base. I did use Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi again for this project. I think the Island Indigo Ombre ribbon goes so well with this card.

Thanks again for stopping in. If you haven't seen this bundle, you can check out some wonderful projects on Pinterest.com

There are many wonderful retiring products to get before they are gone. Simply Click the link below to see what you might miss out on. Be sure to visit again to see what's the theme for next week's class.
