Special Folds Projects

Hi Everyone,

Well for Monday class today, I decided to do some special folds cards. I usually don't do these types of projects, but I know they are popular and stampers love them. I think I've also become a fan now that I committed a whole class to them. I hope you enjoy.

I used the Oh So Succulent bundle and Succulent Garden DSP for this
card. I accidentally used Tangerine Tango on the stamped flowers
instead of Calypso Coral. We will use the right color at class.

This is the card opening up. The style is called "Z Fold".
This "Z Fold" card uses a base piece of cardstock 4 1/4" x 11". The inside DSP piece measures 3" x 5 1/4". Two pieces of DSP are cut at 2 1/2" x 4". The front base measures 4 1/4" x 3" and each layer is 1/4" less each layer. The white inside is the same size as the white on front.

This is a super cute "Triangle Fold" with the Cool Treats
Bundle. I just love the soft colors like Peek a Boo Peach and
Pool Party The Tasty Treats DSP is awesome. The
Envelope Punch board created the perfect sized envelope for
this 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" card.

Opening up the main image begins to turn. The Celebrate Saying
comes from the Sale-A-Bration set Any Occasions

This is when the card is opened all the way up. Sorry for the
smudge. I need to use the magic eraser on it. I love how the
Ombre Stamp pad of Peek a Boo Peach looks.
This "Triangle Fold" card uses a base piece measuring 3 1/2" x 10". Score at 3 1/2" and 7". You will have 3 sections. From the upper left corner, score diagonally to the 3 1/2" score line. Repeat on opposite side diagonally to the 7" score line. Be sure both diagonals go the same direction. Cut a piece of  DSP 3 1/4" x 3 1/4". Cut the DSP from corner to corner diagonally. The white inside piece is also cut at 3 1/4" x 3 1/4". Decorate the outside piece how ever you would like.

If you like the Any Occasions Sale-A-Bration set, you definitely want to earn it. All the other products used are available to order. Remember if you order on-line, use the hostess code #NFEWXHQV. This code is valid through February.

Getting Organized for
New Sale-A-Bration Items
Plus contest winners!

Beginning on February 21st, Stampin' Up! released 3 new Sale-A-Bration products that you can earn for the remainder of Sale-A-Bration. These along with the other products will be available to you, so here's your chance to earn more free stamping things. I was able to pre-order them, so I could share them with everyone. The glimmer paper stack is awesome. I can't wait to share projects with you.

I created a few projects featuring the glimmer paper stack. The colors include; Mint Macaroon, Sweet Sugarplum, and Bermuda Bay. These bright colors are perfect for spring. I hope you enjoy.

This beautiful card features the Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper
and Falling in Love DSP. Hunter Shannon created a similar card
and I altered the colors for a more vibrant look.
Keeping with the Dragonfly Dreams bundle, this
is so soft and pretty. I really like keeping things
monochromatic and the Mint Macaroon does
that well.
Now it's fun time! I love the Cool Treats Bundle. The
popsicles and ice cream cones have so many possibilities.
The Bermuda Bay glimmer paper really stands out on this card.

Baby Bear winner is Lilian Hogenmiller. Congratulations!

A Little Spring During
This Winter with
Helping Me Grow by Stampin' Up!

I recently had a fun "shoebox" swap with some friends. We each designed a card and then prepped enough supplies for everyone to make. This event is so fun because everyone gets a chance to get creative and design a project. This is the card I created with the Helping Me Grow Photopolymer set by Stampin' Up! This set is great to use for many techniques. I kept my flowers gray and allowed the water colored background to stand out. I also love the Dapper Denim ribbon

Helping Me Grow Photopolymer Stamp Set
Helping me Grow Photopolymer Stamp set #140764

For this project I used Marina Mist cardstock and ink. Archival Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight cardstock and ink as well. Whisper White cardstock is used for the top layer. You will also want a Stampin' Spritzer and your clear block any size you'd like.
Stamp the Daffodil ink first directly on half of the clear block. Then do the same with Marina Mist. It's fine if it covers some of the Daffodil Delight. Spritz the block with 2 or 3 spritzes of water.
Stamp the block directly onto the Whisper White cardstock. Hold down for a count of 10 before taking the block away. The ink will look a bit blotchy and spotty, but will blend and smooth as it dries. Be sure to allow the cardstock to dry before stamping the flowers.

Here are a couple of Stampin' Up! samples of this wonderful set.

Designer Tin of Tags Kit
Beautiful Cards at your Finger Tips

Designer Tin of Cards Project Kit

The Stampin' Up! Designer Tin of Cards Kit is one of the best that has been offered. I brought mine out for a Monday stamping class and we had a blast. In this kit, you get supplies to create 16 beautiful cards, 4 of each design. These cards are so rich and full of dimension. For this kit, you can also purchase the coordinating stamp set, but I didn't have it, so I pulled out many other sets with sayings to customize our cards. Here are the final cards we created on Monday.

It was so fun when we tried to decide which design we liked best. Seeing the samples in the instructions did not do these justice. Each card we finished we claimed to "love it" and then the next one we did the same thing. Well we finally decided that this kit is the best ever and all 4 designs are fantastic.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop
Love is in the Air

Hi Everyone,

It's time for another Blogging Friends Blog Hop. We are demonstrators from the United States, Canada, and maybe even other countries. We are thrilled when guest bloggers join in and this is the perfect time. We have Tammy White joining us again this month. We are happy to have her with us. This month we want to focus on love. It's timely with just a couple of weeks to get ready to spread the love. I previously shared the Sealed With Love Bundle, so this time I decided to focus on using a couple other sets for Valentines. You can hop to other blogging friends blogs by clicking the icon below or a name. Thanks for stopping in.

For this project, I used the So in Love Suite which includes the stamp set, Falling in Love DSP and the So Detailed Thinlits.

I had a lot of fun creating this note card set. The Falling in Love DSP is so pretty! The soft colors and designs are so nice. The note cards and envelopes make the perfect size to put into the glassine gift bags. The Stitched Shapes framelits are perfect for a slightly larger 2" circle layer.

Blushing Bride is the focus for this special card.
The Falling in Love Embellishments and
VeryVanilla 1/4" Satin Ribbon makes this special.

Rich Razzleberry is striking for the color of this project. I used
the new Watercolor Pencils for the flowers and the
  StitchedShapes framelits.
If you like the So in Love suite, you definitely want to order it. Get the bundle and you earn a free Sale-a-Bration item.  Remember if you do order on-line, use the hostess code #NFEWXHQV

Any time you order from me, remember you earn "Loyalty Bucks". For every $25.00 you spend you earn 1 "Loyalty Buck". Collect 20 and you choose $30.00 of free product as my gift. Check out my specials at my website for more details about "Loyalty Bucks" as well as classes and events.

February is double "Loyalty Bucks". Order and you will get 2 "bucks" with a $25.00 order. Get your rewards faster by taking advantage this month.

I hope you enjoyed your time here. Be sure to share and leave comments. I love to hear from you.
