Finding Inspiration Friday
Love what you Do

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Friday and I hope you have found some inspiration during the week for whatever you do.  Last Friday I shared my first project from the The new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is coming out in just abut a month, but a huge and wonderful opportunity is just around the corner, beginning May 1st. For the month of May, customers will be able to purchase three different bundles for the Love what you Do Suite found in the upcoming catalog.

As a demonstrator, I was able to pre-purchase the Love what you Do Suite and I can't tell you how absolutely beautiful it all is! What else is fantastic, is that there are great free product included in the bundle offerings.

I was so inspired by these wonderful products, I decided to create with them. The Love what you Do Specialty Designer Series Paper is fantastic. It is a double package (24 sheets) of metallic papers which are thicker that other DSP packs. You know I love designer series paper, so of course I had to create with it.

I used Old Olive as by base color and Basic Black as layers. Shimmery White card stock is a must with this suite because it adds that bit of shimmer. There are new Pearlized Doilies and these wonderful Artisan Pearls in multiple colors.

For the inside, I used the splatter from the Touches of Textures Stamp set (one you must own)! Then I stamped the wonderful saying and added just a bit of the cute flower petals. I used the Pool Party Stampin' Blends to color.

You are going to go crazy over these wonderful products. Check back on May 1st for more details on how to order these fantastic products with free products too.

I hope you enjoyed stopping in today and are inspired to create some of your own projects. When it comes to designer series paper, the ideas are limitless. It's important to note that all of the current designer series papers are on the newly released retiring list. You won't want to wait to put in an order because DSP will sell out! Be sure to check out my other recent posts for prize giveaways.

Wonderful Wednesday
Weekly Class

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back to another Wonderful Wednesday Blog. I am continuing to highlight Stampin' Up! colors that are retiring. I know it is a bit sad to see some favorites go, but the new colors coming into the new Annual Catalog are wonderful and you might not even remember some of the colors retiring.

Not only is my focus on retiring colors, but the retiring designer series papers as well. One of the really beautiful packs is the Petal Garden DSP 6" x 6" paper stack. These color combinations are fantastic! I love to mix and match and this paper makes it really easy to do so.

This project uses Sweet Sugarplum (2016-2018 In-Color) with Wild Wasabi. The flowers and leaves match these colors so well. I wanted the DSP to be the focal point for this Mother's Day card. I used the Petal Pair Embossing Folder and retiring Doilies

Soft Sky is such a pretty color! Similar to the first project, I wanted the DSP to be the star and the color in the background matches perfectly. I used the Touches of Textures Stamp set for the lace background and then used the Label Me Pretty set and punch for the floral Happy Birthday. A slightly larger Layering Oval framelit was mounted with some silver Metallic Thread

I am most excited about this card for class. I haven't used the Best Birds Stamp set yet. This is my first project with this set and framelits. This card uses Tangerine Tango Card stock and the Petal Garden DSP. This is a stand out project. The bird and branch are great. The satin ribbon and pearls are wonderful accents. The "Thank You" sentiment comes from the Petal Palette Stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.

Thanks for stopping in. I had great things to share today. Comment and share if you liked today's projects. It's important to note that all of the current designer series papers are on the newly released retiring list. You won't want to wait to put in an order because DSP will sell out! Finding Inspiration Friday
Share What You Love Suite

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today for Finding Inspiration Friday. The new Stampin' Up!

This suite of products from stamp sets, ribbon, paper and embellishments, there is so much to be inspired about. I decided to focus on my favorite thing, DSP. The beautiful Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series paper is a wonderful pack of 24 double sided 12" x 12" sheets that have metallic sheen throughout.

For my project, I used a sheet of the DSP and mixed and matched to create this card using Rich Razzleberry for the base. The DSP really works well with black, so I used black as my accent color for the layers. Mint Macaroon, a returning color, is another color in the Share what you Love DSP. I used the Layering Circles Framelits too.

A couple of embellishments that are part of the Suite are the new Artisan Pearls and Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon. I used both of these for my card. They sure add more texture and dimension to my project.

I can't tell you how much I love the Designer Series Specialty pack! It is beautiful and full of such rich colors and patterns. I'm going to highlight my next few blogs featuring this paper because I'm so inspired by it and you will be too. Thanks for stopping in and let me know how you liked my project today.

Before I get ahead of myself, there are so many wonderful products retiring and only available through May or when sold out. I can tell you the accessories and consumables sell out quickly.

Wonderful Wednesday
Weekly Class

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another "Hump Day" oh I mean Wednesday. It's time for me to share my projects from my Weekly Wednesday class. I really love my friends that come every Wednesday to share the love of stamping. This week I focused on the fellas. I really have to stretch myself to create masculine cards. There aren't many sets in the Stampin' Up! catalogs that are what I would call masculine. I guess you need to be creative in colors and design. I'll share two of the projects today because I used the birthday one in last Friday's blog because I was inspired by all my wonderful designer series papers (DSP).

I love Washi Tape. Have I told you that? If you saw last Wednesday's Blog, you know I have a Washi Tape design challenge with a prize giveaway. I hope you are working on your project and plan to submit it to me for your chance to win.

I used retiring color Tangerine Tango as the base of this card. I also used my favorite Pick a Pattern Washi Tape. The stamp set, One Wild Ride, is perfect for that special someone. I stamped the motorcycle and then simply lifted and moved it back two times for the effect of movement. Isn't it great? I also used the Touches of Textures splatter for the background on this card.

For this card, I used retiring color Chocolate Chip as my base color. I love the stamp set, Country Living, but I haven't used it very much. I'm determined to use it more and more. I just love this pick-up truck stamp. Vintage and antiques are really popular and I feel in in this card. I used the Wood Texture DSP stack for the wood grain look as well as the burlap ribbon and the Layering Circle Framelits for my ribbon circle. To color the truck and ribbon, I used watercolor pencils and blender pens.

If you have visited before, you know that Stampin' Up! has released their retiring products lists for the Annual and Occasions Catalogs last week. Be sure to check out what's going. There are so many things you won't want to miss, especially the designer series papers and wonderful colors that will be gone before you know it. Accessories always sell out quick so don't delay.

Memories & More Mondays
For the Love of Graduation

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my Memories & More Monday blog. I try and dedicated each Monday to highlighting the fun I have with Stampin' Up's Memories & More products. If you have visited, you know that I haven't been the best at "scrap booking". My life was changed when Project Life with Becky Higgins developed the Memory Keeping card kits and pocket pages! This system has made memory keeping so easy for me. Stampin' Up! has now taken this idea and broadened to Memories & More Card kits that can be used for card making as well. That's a great 2 for 1!

My layout for today brought back memories from last year when my oldest daughter graduated from college at 19. Yes, she was young. Julianne did running start for 2 years and got ahead in her college studies. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Sociology. Julianne new works at an Autism center where she does 1 on 1 therapy with children. She got a couple of more certifications for this. Julianne wants to get back to school for her Masters or Phd. We couldn't be more proud of her.

At the graduation ceremony, Julianne's best friend, Marissa drove down for it and surprised her. It was amazing to see all of the young students with family and friends. It was a beautiful day, but was very, very windy.

For this layout, I used the stamps from the Lift me Up Stamp set. This is a great stamp set for lots of occasions.

Lift Me Up Wood-Mount Stamp Set
There is a great matching Up and Away thinlit set that adds so many possibilities when creating projects.

Up & Away Thinlits Dies

It was so fun to work on this Memories & More layout. I got a chance to be creative as well as remember about that wonderful day at Julianne's graduation. The base color for my project was Marina Mist. This is a retiring color and won't be available after May 31st. If you need the card stock, ink or refill, you should order soon!

Finding Inspiration Friday
True Gentleman DSP
True Gentleman Designer Series Paper

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for joining me today for my Finding Friday Inspiration post. If you have followed me, you know I love Stampin' Up! designer series papers. They are always beautiful, high quality, and the patterns on both sides are fantastic!

I was recently getting things together for my weekly class and decided to focus on colors that have recently been announced by Stampin' Up! as retiring. This DSP does have a color or two that are on that retiring list. Chocolate Chip is one color that is being retired. The green in this DSP is Tranquil Tide, which is a 2017-2019 In-Color that is still going to be available in the new Annual Catalog. I love to mix and match the DSP in my projects.

For this project I used Wild Wasabi as my base color. I love this color and it is also going to be retiring. It works perfect with the paper choices from the package that I pulled. Isn't the bow tie cute? I simply cut it out from the DSP and mounted it with dimensionals. It gave the card that last bit of pop. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits with the Layering Circles Dies. Have you noticed the 1/2" gingham ribbon? This is so silky and beautiful. The color is Night of Navy and it works for some many things.

Check out this fun project by Joyce Whitman who also loves the True Gentleman DSP. I was so inspired by her card.

I used Joyce's idea to create my own variation. I thought the balloons out of DSP was so clever! I decided that I needed to give a try at the DSP balloons and created a birthday card too since I was so inspired by Joyce's card.

Here is my card using the True Gentleman DSP. I love the combination of Night of Navy with Wild Wasabi. The colors really go well with the DSP. Did you notice my frame around the tag punch? I wish a shadow framelit would be included with the dies and punches, but I found a way to make it work so perfectly. Check it out.

I used the second largest Stitched Shapes Framelits and attached my punched out saying. Then I simply used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut along the sides first and then the ends. Then I had the perfect frame around my tag punch.

I hope you enjoyed stopping in today and are inspired to create some of your own projects. When it comes to designer series paper, the ideas are limitless. It's important to note that all of the current designer series papers are on the newly released retiring list. You won't want to wait to put in an order because DSP will sell out! Memories & More
Monday + Giveaway

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in on this busy day. The beginning of the week begins in a rush for me usually. I've dedicated my Monday blogging to Memories & More. Stampin' Up! offers wonderful products for card making and memory keeping all in one. I've said before that I never was big into scrap booking, but with Memories & More, it's a snap and I love it.

Today I'm sharing the card making that I love using the Memories & More Card Kits by Stampin' Up! My samples above come from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Kit. I can't get enough of this kit as well as the coordinating designer series paper and stamp set with thinlits

All of these projects uses the pre-printed cards from the kit. Very little stamping is needed. I added the birthday sentiment and that's it. I added a little color, mounted onto a base and added accessories. The cards are beautiful and were quickly done.

These Memory & More Card kits are so wonderful. It's really nice if you are new to stamping because the cards can be easily incorporated as your card focal point.

This is my daughter, Julianne. I may have posted this before, but I wanted to share again because the flower and sayings both came from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Kit. I'm so in love with this card kit and I hope you are too. I have a prize giveaway today. Simply comment and share my blog using #memories&more in the comment to be in the drawing to win the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Kit.

One lucky winner will win the Petal Passion Memories & More
Card Kit. Comment and share my blog. Use #memories&more in
