Finding Inspiration Friday
Very Versailles

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the end of the week and the much needed finding inspiration Friday. It's so important to put the stress of the week behind and stamping is the best way to do so. I have to tell you that the minute I put stamp to ink and then to paper, the stress melts away.

Today I'm sharing a project with you that I simply can't explain how much I am in love with the beautiful Very Versailles stamp set by Stampin" Up! It's branch is stunning! When I designed this project, I wanted to have an antique feel and boy it it here. The script stamp that I used, I repeated the stamp several times to get the soft background. Then I stamped the branch 3 times with Old Olive ink.

To add all the vintage feel, I decided to use the large branch die from the Sweet Silhouettes Die set. For the card, I simply tore off a piece of the branch to place behind the greeting. Simply add a little of the Scalloped Lace trim and the card is truly beautiful.

VERY VERSAILLES CLING STAMP SET
I hope I have inspired you and have helped the stress of your week melt away. Once I made this card, I'm inspired to design others using this set. I just may make this a product based class in the future. It is a must have!

What's Up Wednesday
Magnolia Lane Spotlight for Class

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping in today. It's a great time to get more acquainted with the Magnolia Lane Suite. For my Weekly Wednesday classes I usually focus on a stamp set, special papers, and/or accessories. I really like to use a stamp set and show the versatility of them. I'll share each project more with you.

If you have been to my blog before, you may remember a recent post where I designed the "Thanks" card for a sketch challenge. I was creating them for thank you treats for stamping friends. I used Grapefruit Grove for that project. I decided to do this for weekly class as well, but I pulled the Mossy Meadow from the DSP for this set.

I think this Tic-Tac holder is great! At class I let my stampers know that it is so easy to adapt and create for other treats. It all depends on how wide and thick the treat it. In my earlier blog, I shared the measurements.

This "Pocket Card" project was inspired by fellow demonstrator Connie Stewart. She is from Simply Simple Stamping and has lots of great things to be inspired by. As you know, I love designer series papers. This project is perfect for instant beauty.

The "Thinking of You" sentiment is stamped on the reverse side of the DSP and it's just beautiful! Okay, how about the stunning 5/8" Petal Pink Striped Organza ribbon It is fantastic!

Last, but not least, I decided to focus on the new In-Colors and Simple Stamping. Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray are a perfect combo. I also cased Connie's idea of using the new Artisan Textures for the inside of the magnolia. I love this. I have been using the Artisan Textures on so many of my projects.

GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA BUNDLE

GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA BUNDLE

There are so many wonderful products in the Magnolia Lane Suite. You can purchase products separately or as a bundle or Suite of products. This is one feature I love in the Annual Catalog this year. I can simply put down one item number for all the products.

Thanks again for stopping in today. I'm so glad to share my excitement for stamping. I had a stamping friend say that she made some cards for a friend and it brought tears to her eyes. That's what stamping is all about. Building relationships and caring for others.

Have you taken advantage of some of the current promotions? I'm happy to share more details with you.

Must Have Monday with
CTS Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited today to share my post. First off, how darn cute is that sloth? I can't stop looking at him! Anyway, I'm here today to share my project for the Case This Sketch challenge. It's super fun because my demonstrator friend, Brian King is the designer for this challenge.

When I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to focus on designer series paper and I am prepping for a stamping group too. I decided to combine both and didn't want to go floral. I am seeing lots of floral projects on Pinterest and other places. A lot of my stamping friends ask for get well and thank you cards, so this is perfect.
BACK ON YOUR FEET CLING STAMP SET

The Back on your Feet stamp set is wonderful! The characters have so much personality and the clever sayings just make you smile.

For this project, I used the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series paper. It has this wonderful embossed texture and is a nice, thick weight. When you add the strip of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon and the punched leaves, you are in the jungle with the sloth.

Wouldn't you agree that the sloth is too cute? When I was coloring him with Stampin' Blends, he came to life! I even feel his "sigh". The Stitched Shaped Oval is also perfect for the Sloth and other characters in the set.

I'm so glad that the CTS #331 designed by Brian King was perfect timing. I love participating in the sketch challenges because it helps you to design. I don't know if I would have thought to do a project like this one if I didn't see the sketch challenge.

This challenge still has many days left. You should design your own project and submit it. You can also see many other projects when you visit the site.

Thanks again for stopping in. I want to remind you about the wonderful promotions that are happening in July. They are ending soon, so check them out.

Finding Inspiration Friday
Global Design Project

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the end of the week. It has been busy and full of stamping. I love having some time off work to organize, stamp, and find inspiration. Today I'm posting for the Global Design Project Challenge #198. It's a wonderful layout with your sentiment front and center.
For my project today, I decided to get out my water color pencils, Aqua Painter, and Blender Pens. Stampin' Up! Water color pencils are the highest quality I've ever used.

I'm also featuring the wonderful Bloom and Grow Bundle. This stamp set is perfect for using many different coloring products. I used water color pencils, but using Stampin' Blends would be wonderful as well.

BLOOM & GROW BUNDLE

# Daisy Lane Winner
Announced

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my blog today. As promised, I am posting to announce a winner of my Daisy Lane Stamp set give-away. There has been a chance to win for a couple of weeks now. You can see my original post for the details. I also recently hosted a swap and would like to share some projects using the Daisy Lane stamp set and coordinating punch. The card above was created by my friend, Bonnie W. I love her color choices.

One of the things I love about hosting a swap that features products in Stampin' Up! catalogs is that there are so many talented stampers and the projects all are so different from each other. Susan C. combined the Garden Lane DSP for a wonderful look.

This card was created by Sandy H. She has participated in my swaps many times. Its amazing that she fussy cut the daisies on either side of the center one. There is a medium daisy punch that coordinates with the center daisy.

I'm so glad that Jenny G. decided to use the Perennial Essence Floral Centers. They add so much dimension to projects. I also love the color combination for this card.

This project created by Sherri P is perfect for fall. It also has an interesting way of opening by using the Stitched Nested Labels dies

Tina M. really went all out on her wonderful project. I love the many layered daisies with the different hues of purple. Did you notice the Stitched Nested Label die behind her daisies? There are so many uses of these dies.

This last card is another of my favorites. I am really drawn to cards that are monochromatic. This means they are usually one color or hues of the same color. I love the crispness of this card. The Stitched Rectangle dies creates really great dimension. This card was created by Kathy M.

I love all of the projects I've shared today. I hope you are inspired to get stamping too. Now I know you are here to see about that winner for the Daisy Lane Stamp set. It is a wonderful set. I had just a few people respond for this contest, so lucky you.

And the Winner is: Joetta

Congratulations Joetta! I will connect with you soon. You can also connect with me by email at: lennyandmary1@msn.com. This is a wonderful stamp set. I would suggest that you purchase the coordinating Medium Daisy Punch. There is also a wonderful coordinating stamp set called Daily Delight with another Daisy Punch you might like.
