Happy Birthday 

To My Daughter Turning 20

Hi Everyone,

It's so hard to believe that my oldest daughter is now 20 years old! She is a few hours away and has finished her bachelor's degree. She did running start, so she got her degree at 19 in Psychology and Sociology. She will be moving back home at the end of July and try to find work a bit in her field to get some experience while she looks for a master's program.

graduation. That was nice of her.

This was the fun birthday card I made using the
Tabs for Everyone stamp set and punch. I also
used the Balloon Celebration set.

My daughter is such a great girl. I'm excited to have her come back home. It seems like there are birthdays happening all the time that I need a card for. I try and create birthday cards as much as I can. Whose birthday are you needing to get stamping a card for?

Making a Difference

With Sharing Sweet Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

I was so happy to see the new Charities stamp set Sharing Sweet Thoughts in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. It's perfect for the current season all through fall. I have found that you can never have too many "thinking of you" stamp sets and sayings. There are so many needs in our world.

Another great thing about this set is that $3.00 of every set sold goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charity. I got to experience the wonderful services that this charity provides. My best friend's daughter went through open heart surgery and her family stayed in the RMHC home. The staff and amenities were wonderful during this stressful time. I'm so glad this is the charity that Stampin' Up! supports. 

You may have noticed that the jar in this set also coordinates with the current Jar of Love stamp set and framelits. This is perfect! You can mix and match and even get more uses from this set. Here are some ideas for you.

Friday Design Challenge
&
Die Brush and Foam Pad Give-Away

It's time to get your creative stampin' on! Here is the new Friday Design challenge. This design really focuses your attention right to that circle. I really can envision some designer paper piecing. or what about embossing folder pieces for that added texture.

Here are the details:

• Design your card with the template as your inspiration.

Put a Little Jingle in Your

Holiday Bells & Storage for your Thinlits

Hi Everyone,

I know it's a little early to think about Christmas, but soon enough we will run out of time to create our holiday projects. I am participating in a swap and created this projects combining the Eastern Medallion Thinlits and the Seasonal Bells stamp set.  The coordinating bell punch is a must have when using the Seasonal Bell! I love using blue and silver colors for the holidays. 

If you look closer, you can see how great the little snow flurries are the I stamped on the background. The added ribbon pulls the whole project together. The base of the project is Marina Mist and the grey is Smoky Slate.

Here is another project I created to get a head start on my holiday needs. Christmas Pines is a beautiful set. I really like the pine boughs. For this project, I used Emerald Envy (discontinued) and real red. The copper foil sheets make perfect pine cones. 

Do you struggle with storing your thinlits? I wanted to find a way to have easy access to my thinlits and be able to see quickly what pieces are included. I now store all of my thinlits using Kompac Magnetic Holders. These holders are perfect for holding the thinlit sets and having a clear cover makes it easy to see the complete set. 

The holders can hold all of your thinlits and framelits. There are exceptions for the Window Box. It is too wide. These are standard size like DVD movie boxes. Because I have so many dies, I don't use the display holder, but it is cool. It can hold 5 sets at once. These are easy to find on-line if you just search Kompac Magnetic storage holders. I get mine from Rubber Stamp Depot. They are $7.99 for 3 at the Depot.

Seasonal Layers

Yes Please!

Colorful Seasons Bundle

Hi Everyone,

If there is one thing I can't live without, it's the Seasonal Layers Thinlits that coordinate with the Colorful Seasons Stamp set! This has got to be the best set and bundle in the new annual catalog. The all season stamp set and beautiful images are fantastic! I recently participated in a swap and I wanted to share some of the cards I go back from this stamp set and thinlits.

One Wild Ride

a Great Way to Congratulate

Hi Everyone,

Well it's that time of year for graduations, weddings, and retirements. I work for a school district and several teachers are retiring. The One Wild Ride stamp set is perfect for retirements. Whether male or female, this wonderful set created by Dawn Griffith when she reached her $1,000,000 in sales with Stampin' Up! There are 4 teachers that I made this card for. I know they will love it. I used Melon Mambo, Pop of Pink DSP (retired) and the new Pick a Pattern Washi Tape. The Stitched Shapes Framelits really add a lot of dimension too. 

I also have a couple of male teachers I know who are retiring as well. I used Chocolate Chip card stock and inks to create this project to give to them. I just love the motorcycle in this stamp set. It is so detailed. Always Artichoke was used for the "congratulations" stamp as well as the sentiment inside the card.

I'm going to get busy and create a few more congratulations projects because I know there will be more graduation announcements coming my way from friends with kids graduating. I think we also may have a few more teachers retire.
