Finding Inspiration Friday
Something Old/Something New

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the end of the week where I am filled with stamping inspiration. Today I am struggling with the end of the current Stampin' Up! catalogs and the arrival of the new Annual Catalog. There are dates and transitions, and I thought I would help you out.

My projects today are celebrating the current catalog products and combining with new products in the upcoming catalog. This pretty card was inspired by Lorrie Skinner.

This first project is all about my favorite color, yellow! The Layering Leaves Textured Impressions Dynamic Embossing folder is a well loved folder. I've combined that with the new Florence Essence Bundle. I love how the leaves stand out so much. I used the Pineapple Punch ink pad and sponge brayer to add ink to one side of the embossing folder before I ran it through the Big Shot.

For my next project, I used the Subtle Textured Impressions Dynamic Embossing folder with the new Above the Clouds Bundle. The Subtle folder has been very popular. It's amazing how much it adds to your project. Just a little texture goes a long way.

Both of these embossing folders are in the new annual catalog. There are some positive changes to the design of the Textured Impressions Dynamic Embossing folders. First off, they are going to be simply called 3-D Embossing folders. That certainly saves a mouthful. During this transition there is also a change in design for the framelits and thinlits. They will now be called "Dies". I love this simplicity! Here are some details to help you understand these positive changes.

I hope you have enjoyed these projects. I'd love to hear from you so share and comment if you did like them. Both of the bundles will be available to order on June 4th. Below are a few reminders in regards to transitions and available products still for just a few more days while they last.

Time is running out to get your retiring products. June 3rd it all ends!

Wonderful Weekly Wednesday
Paper Players Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I'm so glad you joined me today. I have finally broken out another suite from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog that goes live in another week. I am inspired today by the Paper Players #443 sketch challenge that was posted this week. If you haven't gotten involved in any sketch challenges, I encourage you to. It is fun to participate and it's fun when part of the designing has already been done for you. Here is the template that inspired my project.

The Mosaic Mood Suite has stunning designer series paper (DSP)! One side has a shiny embossed textured with fantastic designs. The other side has more subtle designs. For my project, I focused on the designer series paper. I just the hummingbird from one of the sheets. I used a bitty flower punch to punch the 3 flowers from the subtle side of the same sheet of the DSP.

For my card base, I used the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards. I trimmed one of the cards down to make a more square shaped card. I love the silver trim outline on these cards.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today. If you have visited before, you know I love designer papers! It's so fun to mix and match and let the paper be the star. Be sure to visit the Paper Players Blog for this sketch challenge. There are lots of great projects to see.

There are a couple of things I want to remind you about that are coming to a close soon. Simply scroll on and click the images for more information. I don't want you to miss any stamping fun!

Make it Monday Retro
Case This Sketch #323

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Make it Monday. First off I wish to celebrate the men and women who take care of our safety and those who have in the past. My brother, husband, brother-n-law, as well as many other are recognized today. For those who lost their lives in battles, they stay in my prayers.

Today I have a project to share that is the the CTS #323 Retro Sketch Challenge. The original challenge was in 2015 by Leigh Penner. This week we are all challenged to create from this inspiration.

For this sketch challenge, I decided to pull out a brand new and soon to be available Stampin' Up! stamp set called Above the Clouds. This is going to be a fantastic set with a coordinating punch for tons of crafting fun.

I used Thick White Cardstock for the base of my card. I decided to keep the colors in blues, so I used Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. These two blues go well together. You can see more projects created for the CTS #323 Sketch challenge. There are a few more days left, so craft your own project for this layout.

Thanks again for stopping in. Be sure to check out all the other entries for the blog challenge. There are a couple of things I want to remind you about. Simply scroll on and click the images for more information.

What to Stamp Wednesday
Sketch Challenge + Prize Patrol

Hi Everyone,
You are just in time to see my sketch challenge that I am putting out to you to submit a project for. I often enter sketch challenges, but each month I put a challenge out for my stamping friends. You are my stamping friend too, so read on about submitting a project to me to win. This layout is from a 2017 sketch challenge from CTS. I really like this one and thought it would be great for my challenge.

The card I created was inspired by this sketch using the upcoming To a Wild Rose stamp set. This set will be available in the new 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog beginning June 4th. These stamped flowers are fantastic. I used Gorgeous Grape for two of the layers of the flower and then the final layer I used Highland Heather stamped off twice. The depth of these flowers are breathtaking.

Now for the Sketch Challenge + Prize Patrol

Now it's your turn to create a project inspired by the Sketch Layout included in today's post. By submitting your creation to me, you will be placed in a drawing to win a package of the Clear Faceted Gems. I love these embellishments and use them often in my projects.

clear adhesive-backed gems

Here are the details about submitting for this sketch challenge.
  • Design a project inspired by the sketch layout
  • Upload or deliver to me your project by the deadline to be entered into the drawing
  • Deadline to enter is June 8th
  • Upload to lennyandmary1@msn.com
  • Winner will be announced in my blog sharing all the entries and revealing the winner
  • Be sure to include contact information, so I can contact if you are the winner
  • This sketch challenge does not require current Stampin' Up! products. Use what you have. It's just about sharing the love of stamping.

I hope I have motivated you to get stamping for this challenge. I love to connect with stampers and see the creativity of others. I can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping in today...

Must Have Monday
Everything is Rosy Medley

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Monday and my weekly post. I share memories and must haves in your craft room. Stampin' UP! is the best rubber stamping company with the highest quality and coordinating products. Not to mention, they have the highest integrity and customer service. Okay, let me get back to my project for today.

I created this card for a shoe box swap that I just hosted yesterday. What's a shoe box swap? Well this is a fun time I put together with the many friends I've made through my love of stamping. It's an opportunity for them to create a project to share with all of us. Then they put all the supplies for everyone into a box and we pass around all the boxes until we have created each person's project. This is so much fun. We chat and eat all the goodies that are brought to share.

My project features the Everything is Rosy Product Medley. Have you gotten yours yet? Wait, what? your too busy? Haven't heard about it? Oh my, you have to order yours now, because supplies are limited and only available to order in May while supplies last. This limited offer is AMAZING!!!

This medley is so awesome. There are so many pre-stamped and die cut flower and labels. This is great, but the designer series paper and the Rose Gold Foil paper is a wow! The leaves on my project were die cut using the coordinating dies from the medley. Notice the DSP also have the Rose Gold Foil accents. I just can't get enough of this product medley. Check out this video for an up close look at all the things you will receive.

Did you keep track of what comes in the medley? There are wonderful embellishments for endless creativity. I roughly added the cost of each item based on current catalog prices. The items included purchased on their own would roughly be $125 before shipping and tax. This special medley is available for $80. This is fantastic!

Be sure to order your Everything is Rosy Product Medley this month. Don't delay because this limited time special is while supplies last. This will definitely sell out! I appreciate you choosing me when you place your order. You can see more projects from a recent post too.

If you are in need of any products you can place an order online. I appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator. Be sure to use the May hostess code #2T7BXSWD when placing your order. As a thank you for your order, I will send you a set of 3 hand stamped cards with envelopes.

If you place a $150 order, don't use the hostess code. You qualify for your own hostess benefits. Please do not mark "No Contact" when you order. I won't be able to contact you to award you with Loyalty Bucks or prizes.

Something to Stamp Saturday
Global Design Project #189

Hi Everyone,
Happy Saturday to all of you. I'm glad you stopped by to see the project I've created for the Global Design Project challenge. If you follow me, you know I love the design challenges. Today's is no different. It's a color challenge combining Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, and Pineapple Punch colors.

I find that color challenges can sometimes be more difficult than a layout challenge. The GDP #189 challenge with these colors was so much fun! It was so challenging to decide on what color base to use and which colors to accent.

I added the Gingham Gala sequins to add to the boldness of my project. There are many other projects to see from other stampers who have combined these three colors. You can see them and even create your own project to submit.

The Petal Burst Embossing folder and the Incredible Like You stamp set are both on the discontinued list. These are available until supplies last, and no longer available after June 1st. You can check out all the discontinued products. Simply click below.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today and have been inspired to combine your own colors for a great project. Share and comment. I'd love to chat.

If you are in need of any products you can place an order online. I appreciate you choosing me as your demonstrator. Be sure to use the May hostess code #2T7BXSWD when placing your order. As a thank you for your order, I will send you a set of 3 hand stamped cards with envelopes.
