Design Challenge Winner

Hi Everyone,

Spring is in the air and excitement to get out and plant gardens and clean up your yards is there. I recently was able to get out and weed some of my garden beds. It's still too early to put my plant starts in because we are getting too cold at night still.

I recently posted a Friday Design challenge and wanted to share entries. Several stampers submitted a project inspired by the template. The winner of the challenge this time gets a package of the glimmer paper stack that was available during Sale-A-Bration.

Christ created this fun card. I love the eyes.

Jenny created this masculine card in rich browns.

Sue created this beauty.

Monica shared this butterfly creation.

This is the Bee's Knees by me.
All of these projects are great. I hope you might try your hand at the Friday Design Challenges. I post them each month, so subscribe to get your notification. Well I just happened to have 2 packages of the Sale-A-Bration glimmer paper, so 2 lucky winners will be announced. Jenny and Monica are the winners. Congratulations and thanks for sending in your project. I will connect soon on sending out your glimmer paper.

Wild about Washi Tape

Hi Everyone,

One of my favorite things when I craft is to take out my Washi Tape and see how I can use it to be the focal point of my projects. Washi Tape makes projects so quick and easy. The picture above is a new Washi Tape collection called Pick a Pattern. I really like the wide dots pattern. This collection will be available beginning June 1st.

I wanted to share a few projects that I've prepped for my weekly Wednesday stamping class. It's all about the Washi Tape. I hope you enjoy. Be sure to comments or share with a friend if you like my samples. I hope to inspire you to take time to craft.

This uses the Affectionately Yours WashiTape.
Watermelon Wonder is the base and the
Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.

Delightful Dijon and the Succulent Garden DSP gow well
together. I love the boldness of the leaves from the
Remarkable You stamp set.

I think I like this one the best that I designed. I used RoseRed as the base.
The rich colors of the Washi Tape really
help the saying and the Elegant Butterfly stand out.
These projects were so fun to make and I could just keep on going. I do have another project in mind using the Washi tape in a different way. All of the Washi Tape featured in my projects are retiring and will be available while supplies last. Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon are also on the retiring list.

Stampin' Up! is busy filling orders for the retiring products that are available while supplies last or  through May 31. Check them out before they are gone! There are many discounts on the retiring products, so don't miss out.

Saying Goodbye to Some
of my Favorite Stamps

Hi Everyone,

Well it seems to be a mad rush for everyone to get their orders in for the Nailed it stamp set found in the Occasions Catalog. It is one of the sets retiring at the end of May. I made a couple of cards that I wanted to share from class on Wednesday. I really liked taking the tool set and going more pink.

Pop of Pink DSP and Washi make a great
background.

I love pinks and grey together. Melon Mambo
really pops this project.
I was thinking about how you stamp the tools twice to get the tools to look very realistic. Go through your other sets and think about how you can apply the same technique. Maybe the wheels on a wagon or the fenders on a motorcycle. It can be a fun crafting adventure. If you do create some projects this way, share them with me. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Another product I love is the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper. All of the patterns are so cute and can lend itself to lots of birthday fun. The Cool Treats set and framelits will still be in the new annual catalog, but not bundled for a 10% discount. I decided to create a project for a gift card in a little different way.

Okay you can't have enough Bling. I love the
Sprinkles embellishments. A great buy
right now at $2.75

When you begin to open, surprise

I love the different fonts and greetings
for birthdays.
For this gift card project, the base measures Shimmery White  8 1/4" x 4 1/2" and scored at 3. You can score at 2 3/4" as well. It's up to you how much room you want for your gift card. The Watermelon Wonder mini card is cut at 8 1/2 x 2 3/4". From there, the other DSP pieces are 1/4" smaller.

You can check out many of the still available retiring items at Stampin' Up! Things are going fast. I just went on to see about something and wow, where did it go? Sold out, that's where, so be sure to grab those things on your list before it's too late. Don't miss out on these great Sprinkles Embellishments. They are wonderful!

Eastern Palace Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone,

Coming soon is a wonderful new Annual Catalog suite available to purchase. It's called Eastern Palace. I created some samples for the recent On-Stage Event in San Diego, and in my box of goodies was some of the Eastern Palace Suite products. I received the Eastern Palace DSP and the Vinyl clings. I wanted to share with you the projects that I created with the supplies. Let me know what you think and any questions you may have. If you would like a new catalog or more information simply contact me on my website.

If you know the Seattle Seahawks, you can
see where I was going with this. The DSP
has perfect Seahawk colors.

The Eastern Palace Vinyl stickers were so fun to play with.
The medallions match the stamps in the set.

The gold sheet in the DSP is stunning. Even
the tiny flowers with the pearls are stickers.

Layering the vinyl stickers and punching
made a great project.

These are the new Striped Gift Bags and I
used the Eastern Palace Vinyl Stickers
and the mini gold sequin trim.
It was fun using the vinyl stickers. A really cool thing is that the stickers are gold on one side and silver on the other, so you could alter the look. Only one side is sticky though. I used the White Gift boxes (which are retiring). I used Night of Navy and sponged the box. Then I used the Vinyl stickers and the silver shows through. The flower is from using Succulent Garden Framelits (which are retiring at a huge discount). The ribbons are coming in the new Annual Catalog in June.

Retiring Products
at a Big Discount

Hi Everyone,

Well if you are a stamper, you know that the Stampin' Up! Retiring Products list has come out. This list includes 10 pages of wonderful products that will be leaving to make room for all the new awesome things coming in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog. This list will change often as products run out. The papers, inks, and accessories are first come, first filled and will be sold out. It's best to order what you can't live without and check the list often. I just returned from the On-Stage Local event and was blown away at what's coming. But before we go there, you must be sure to get your wish list taken care of from the current Occasions and Annual catalog.

I wanted to share with you the couple of bundles and suites that I just couldn't get enough of. I hope you enjoy. Be sure to share my blog or comment. I love to connect with new people.

The Cupcakes and Carousels Suite is such a great one. I love the DSP and all of the fonts used with this Suite. The vintage feel of this suite is so cool. Pick a pack of patterned paper! So many designs, so many colors, so many uses. Each sheet is double-sided for double the creative options. The smaller size works beautifully on card fronts. This package is 6" x 6".

Another suite that I love is the Oh So Succulent Suite. My daughter loves succulents and we continue to try and have them. We aren't having too much luck, but we keep trying. The beautiful colors of the 12" x 12" package of DSP create subtle tones in your projects.

I've saved my favorites for last. I just love the 6" x 6" Sending Love DSP for the Sealed with Love Bundle! Everything about this bundle is awesome. I love all of the little details and the Love Notes Framelits that coordinate with the stamp set. The DSP is bold and bright in colors and patterns. I love to mix and match.

If you like these projects and are getting inspired, you don't want to wait to get your hands on the retiring products. All are discounted and will go quickly. I am happy to help you in anyway, so simply comment or contact me. Be sure to check back on Friday. I will be posting a new Friday Design Challenge that you can get involved in.

Any time you order from me, remember you earn "Loyalty Bucks". For every $25.00 you spend you earn 1 "Loyalty Buck". Collect 20 and you choose $30.00 of free product as my gift. April is Double Loyalty Bucks, so you receive 2 bucks for every $25.00 you spend before shipping and tax. Check out my specials at my website for more details about "Loyalty Bucks" as well as classes and events.

April's Hostess Code #QTTV9N2G, entering it when ordering puts you in for a chance to win hostess benefits. If ordering $150.00 or more, don't use the code. You will earn your own hostess benefits.

Designer Series Paper
Dreamer

Hi Everyone,

I can't tell you how much I love Stampin' Up! and their Specialty Designer Series Paper. They have so many wonderful 12" x 12" choices as well as Paper Stacks at 6" x 6". It's amazing how much the DSP can become the focal point of of your project. This card uses the Floral Boutique 12" x 12" DSP. This rich in color DSP creates stunning projects. I created project for a swap at On-Stage Local that was this past weekend.

Another swap I created was for a Thank You swap. I love the Window Shopping Bundle, so I decided to use the stamp set for a Thank you focal point.

My Thank You card uses the Succulent Garden DSP as the full layer for a beautiful and spring like card.

This card uses Sweet Sugar Plum card stock and
the Sugar Plum ruched ribbon
The On-Stage Local that happened on Saturday was a lot of fun. I also got my hands on the new Annual Catalog. Although I can't share anything yet, I want you to know that your wish list will be huge. Do check back for more information about the new Annual Catalog plus fun challenges and giveaways.

If you have been loving the current designer series paper, now is the time to order. All of the DSP will be discontinued from the catalog. When the discontinued list comes out later today, there will be them listed and maybe even discounted. Papers always sell out quickly, so don't miss out. If you want to receive a discontinued list from me, simply contact me from my website. You can also view them there as well.

Remember that when you order on-line, you can earn "Loyalty Bucks". April is an exciting time because it is double loyalty bucks. For every  $25.00 you order, you receive 2 bucks instead of 1. Paper Pumpkin
it's a Sara Thing

Hi Everyone,

I'm so excited to receive my April Paper Pumpkin! CEO, Sara Douglas worked with the team and created the April kit. She gave a few hints from an interview and said that this was going to be the best kit with allowing stampers to be creative and feel like the artists. So my thought is that the Sale-A-Bration Inside the Lines DSP was a bit of inspiration for Sara's design. I could be wrong, but we'll see.

Another thing that I heard Sara say is that one of the upcoming In-Colors is the ink you will receive in the April Paper Pumpkin kit. Stampin' Up! comes out with 5 new In-Colors every two years, and we are getting them in the new Annual Catalog that goes live June 1st. With the April Kit, you'll get a chance to have one of the new In-Colors before anyone else.

Here are all the perks for being a Paper Pumpkin subscriber:

  • The convenience of an all-inclusive kit arriving at your door every month.
  • Exclusive photopolymer stamp sets and the opportunity to build a collection.
  • Crafting time you can count on without a lot of prep work.
  • Trying new techniques.
  • Creating alternate projects with all the goodies in the box.
  • Getting together with friends to craft every month.
  • Purchasing past kits and refills so the fun never ends.
  • The quality of the products and variety of projects each month.
  • Sharing ideas with a community of online crafters.
  • The surprise factor!
And for an extra surprise, there is an extra gift in the April Paper Pumpkin kit.

Remember that in order to get the April Paper Pumpkin kit, you need to order by April 10th. You can order monthly or subscribe for a 3-month subscription and 12 month subscription. By subscribing for the several month options, you get a discounted price. When you become a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you will become part of my "Paper Pumpkin Pals". I treat my Pals to alternate tutorials as well as other benefits throughout the year.

If you have been thinking about trying out Paper Pumpkin, now is the time. Remember that when you order on-line, you can earn "Loyalty Bucks". Blogging Friends
Shine with Yellow

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another Blogging Friends Blog Hop. I'm so glad you stopped by. We are all Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the nation and even overseas. This month we wanted to focus on bringing the much needed sunshine by creating projects focusing on the color yellow. Yellow just happens to be my favorite color, but I'm not sure if it's a very popular color when it comes to scrap booking and card making. I hope you enjoy my samples. I decided to try a few projects for today.

I just love the carriage from Something for Baby
stamp set and Baby's Firsts Framelits. The Crushed Curry
goes perfect.

A bit of  Daffodil Delight really makes this card pop.
The Layering Circles Framelits are a must have.

I hope you think this card is a lot of fun. It uses the
Fun Flowers Stamp set and Pansy Punch.
My three projects really got me into the spring fever. I can't wait to get out my other bright colors to create more fun projects. Well that's it for me this time, so hop on over and see what Jessica has created. Thanks for stopping by.
