the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog

Hello New Year

Hi Everyone,

Well as much as we love the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog, the new 2017-2018 is even more fantastic! The annual catalog that we have looked through so many times this past year is bent up, beat up, and so many page corners bent over to mark our favorites. As we transition to the new catalog, I wonder how long it will take to have the same affect on the new catalog?

One of the things I notice in the new annual catalog is how many bundles are available. There are 23 new bundles offered this year. We really do love our dies. There are many products from the last catalog in this new one too, so not all of the favorites went. Another area that is always popular is the Specialty Designer Series Paper section. All I can say is WOW! They are beautiful. A great way to get a sampling of all of the DSP's offered is to join in on the DSP Paper share I have going on. 

The New 2017-2018 Annual Catalog

I recently participated in a swap with other demonstrators to highlight a few of the new products. I wanted to share a couple of my favorites I received. I hope you enjoy.

Sandy Haynes created this beautiful card using
the Label Me Pretty set and punch. The striking
DSP is fabulous. I love one color story too.

Cathy Bartlett created this fun project. The Birthday Deliver
bundle will be one of the greatest hits. Don't miss out on the
coordinating DSP either. The framelits coordinate with both.

The countdown is on. It's like the New Year's Eve ball dropping at midnight. There is so much excitement. I hope you come back to see more ideas and projects with the new annual catalog. We all Need a Little

Color Theory in our Lives

Hi Everyone,

I bet you are all just dying to have a chance to get online and order new products from the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I recently had an open house using new products and participated in a card swap with some demonstrators. My 2 projects are from the Color Theory product suite in the upcoming catalog. This is the first of the projects I made. I didn't send this one in the swap, because I had a little stamping boo-boo (as you can probably see). That's okay for me to share (I'm sure you all have experienced a stamping boo-boo, and sometimes there's no hiding it). This color combination uses the new In-colors. 

Thick White Card Stock and Berry Burst were
used for this project. Stitched Shapes Framelits are
a must have!

This second project uses really rich colors, Dapper Denim and Always Artichoke along with the new Berry Burst In-Color. I just love the 2-stamp detail of the chair. I'm amazed at how real life it appears.

The Colorful Seasons Stamp set is fantastic!
This is such an all season must have. There
is a coordinating thinlits set as well to help
with creating dynamic projects.

Don't forget that stamping doesn't have to just
be on the outside. Dress up the inside to add
a surprise and smile.

Open House Fun

Daisy Delight Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone,

What a fun open house I had was this past Sunday. It was warm here in the North West and we had a great time chatting and stamping. It's just about a week before the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog goes live and I wanted to share a project with one of my favorite new bundles. It's called Daisy Delight.

Daisy Delight is a wonderful stamp set. The coordinating designer series paper is fantastic! the beautiful, soft designs and color story is the best. I love the combination of Calypso Coral and Wisteria Wonders. The coordinating daisy bunch is so fun. Your flower really pops. If you can see the gem in the center of the flower, it is the new metallic enamel shapes. The new catalog does not do these gems justice. They are a must have.

Stamp Set of the Month

Do you find yourself short on time, lacking on creativity, or knowing what to do for that much needed card? Here is the answer. 

Each month, club members receive a wonderful Stampin’ Up! stamp set and all the paper supplies and embellishments needed to make three exclusive cards with envelopes for just $34.95(including shipping). If local, the cost is $28.00. Everything is pre-cut and neatly packaged, Directions and photos of the projects are included. Participants out of area, need to provide inks and adhesives.

There is no continued commitment to take part in the Stamp Set of the Month. You can choose to participate each month or skip if you want. • Mailing

I will mail the club boxes by the 15th of the month. Once your club box is in the mail, you will receive an email with a tracking number and expected delivery date.

• Ordering a different set

If you would like to order just the card sets and directions, it is $14.95 per month. (No "Loyalty Bucks" with this option.)

• Ordering extra card sets

If you would like to receive extra cards, please include that in your email. Additional card packages are Five dollars each.

• This is a product based class

The Stamp of the Month Club is, instead, a product based class by mail. Participants sign up by email and pay first. I then put the class together and mail it out. It is no different than a product based class held in my own home. 

• Canceling

Once payment has been received, there will be no refund. Products have been ordered and supplies prepped.

I really liked using the vinyl medallion stickers. They are awesome! One of the projects I made that I really liked was my gift box. I was able to show that the sticky side is silver. It's perfect for the clear boxes.

It's a New Stampin' Up! year. There are New In Colors, so that means it's time for the In Color Club.  This club will get you all the NEW In Color Products over the next five months so it is a little easier on your pocketbook than purchasing everything at once.

Designer Series Paper Share

Here are the details for my paper share:

I’m placing my share order early on June 1st. This way I can be sure to get all of the DSP packs and then have time to cut and bundle your paper and get it out to you within 2 weeks.  Shares are a great way to get a sampling of all of the new papers without having to buy full packs! If you were to purchase all of the 15 packages of DSP in the new catalog, it would cost you $198.00 with shipping and tax. This share is a fantastic way to sample all of the papers to decide on which ones you really want full packages of. 

New Designer Series Paper Share – $26.00 plus $6 for Priority Mail shipping (local stampers no shipping cost added)

You will receive different designs of 6×6 sheets from the following DSP packs (the number after the name indicates how many different 6×6 sheets of that paper pack you will receive):

Va-Va-Vellum

Beautiful Projects

Hi Everyone,

If you saw my last Finding Friday Inspiration Post and video, you know that I am back to crafting with vellum. My weekly class this past Wednesday was all about vellum and all the wonderful things you can do with it. My advanced stampers brought a brand new stamper, so she was in for a challenge. Boy was she great. She kept right up and all her projects turned out great. We embossed the vellum both dry and wet. We colored the vellum and we punched out the vellum. I hope you enjoy the projects.

As you can see, when you run the vellum through the Big Shot
with an embossing folder, you get the vellum cracking white
which makes a great affect. We sponged the backside
with Peek-a-Boo Peach and Watermelon Wonder.

Okay, who doesn't love the Floral Boutique
Designer Series Paper? This rich Night of Navy
is so beautiful. The Remarkable You flower was
embossed with silver and then we water colored
the back with Night of Navy ink.

By water coloring, you can create flower that has
a lot of dimension. So beautiful!

As you know, I like to take inspiration from a lot of things. I also like to C.A.S.E from other stampers. I got a card from a swap a couple of years ago and I had an idea from the layout. I hope you enjoy.

The card on the right was created by Christy Tobin. I decided to
C.A.S.E. her layout and show you what I came up with.

This bright project uses the new In-Color Berry Burst Card
stock, ink, and ribbon. It also has been partially embossed
with the gently falling embossing folder.

At class, we created this flower using the Eastern Medallion
Thinlits. The saying is from the new Eastern Beauty Stamp set.
So cute!

Gift Box with Cards

and Gift Tags

Hi Everyone,

I was so inspired by our nice spring weather, that I decided to pull out the wonderful Fresh Fruit Stamp set by Stampin' Up! to create these gift boxes with note cards and gift tags. Fresh Fruit is a retiring stamp set that is wonderful. The texture of the stamps really gives that sunkist summer look. I saw a similar set on Pinterest by Olga Cavanaugh. She used the Fruit Stand DSP and another fruit set too. You can find the dimensions on her blog. One of the things I really like are the note cards and envelopes. You get 20 pre-scored cards with the envelopes. I hope you like my version of this great project. Be sure to share or follow me to keep up with my posts.

Watermelon Wonder and Pear Pizzazz are perfect for strawberries.

I love the flowers in the Fresh Fruit set. Daffodil Delight
and Peek-a-Boo Peach are a great combo.

You can get some color affects by "kissing" or tapping into
another color after you've inked in a lighter color. This was done
with Pear Pizzazz and Tip Top Taupe.

 This set can make the perfect gift for a friend or simply keep for yourself when you need a card or tag. I also used a couple of stamps from different sets. "You are Remarkable" is from the Remarkable You Stamp set. The "For You" came from the Birthday Blooms Stamp set.
