Finding Inspiration Today

Ready for Fall

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for joining me today for my Finding Inspiration Friday post. We are gearing up for a new school year and that means all the fun things about fall. I love fall the best of all the seasons, so of course I'm feeling inspired today. The Paper Players have put out a fun design challenge. I love to participate in these.

For my project, I'm using the Rooted in Nature Stamp set and the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper. This suite is so wonderful! the stamp set has so many stamps and possibilities. I used Cajun Craze as the ink for the saying and Mint Macaron for the leaf stamp. What I really like about the paper is the fine veins in the leaves.

Time to Stamp Tuesday

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today for my blog post. I'm getting back to work with my school district and having to plan out my stamping fun. I've been able to stamp a lot over the summer, and now I have to plan in advance time to stamp. That's okay because today I'm stamping for the Global Design Project sketch challenge. This week it's a color challenge which is a lot of fun. 

This week, the sketch challenge is a color combination challenge. For my project, I wanted to use the cute critter from Postcard Pals Stamp set. He is so cute!

For the otter, I used Soft Suede, and Flirty Flamingo. I added the Daffodil Delight on the letter and flower.

Case This Sketch #286

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for stopping in. I've been away for the past week because of the start up of the school season. I'm excited to share a project I just finished for the CTS sketch challenge for this week.

For my project, I really wanted to have the Designer Series Paper (DSP) be the star. I know the sentiment is the showcase and I think it stands out well with my project. I used the Animal Expedition DSP. It's so cute!

Recently, I've been adding a strip of coordinating DSP to the inside of the card. I think it adds a nice touch.

I'm not sure if you can see the Subtle texture on the Basic Gray Cardstock. This is from my new favorite embossing folder called "Subtle". Sometimes you don't want a design, but you want a bit of texture. This embossing folder is the perfect one.

Hi Everyone,

I'm so excited you decided to stop by today. I have unpacked some of the upcoming Holiday Catalog products by Stampin' Up! and I just had to dig into my favorite season. Fall and Halloween are the best! I decided today to join in on the challenge by Case This Sketch blog. Continue on to see what it's all about.

This template is the sketch challenge set out this week by Chrissy Larson. This blog is all about clean and simple designs. I think this one is a lot of fun when you begin to add your own touches with designer series papers and your own occasion. 

For my project, I used the new Spooky Sweets Stamp Set and coordinating punch. These products are available to demonstrators and then for customers beginning September 5th. If you have been to my blog before, you know that I love designer series papers (DSP). I also used an upcoming DSP called Toil & Trouble. The paper is so great with rich color combinations. For this challenge, a little DSP is all you need to add a lot to textures.

Wonderful Wednesday

Weekly Stamp Class

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Wednesday where I share all about my weekly stamp class. This week I focused on a wonderful stamp set called Country Road by Stampin' Up! This set has lots of possibilities and fills the need for some masculine projects as well. In my weekly stamp class we will focus on a stamp set, papers, or techniques. 

I love this project because it can be colored for a feminine look or for a masculine look. The boots come from the Country Living stamp set which pairs perfectly with the new Country Road set. 

This project is all about the guys. The pearls were colored using the Bronze Stampin' Blends. I think the weather vane with the horse on top is very cool. It can create an antique vintage feel as well. 

As summer gets closer to an end, the fall colors will begin to show. This project is a nod to fall. I love the new Mango Melody color and pairing it with black is striking.

Time to Stamp Tuesday

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today for my Time to Stamp Tuesday. If I blog on Tuesdays, it's because I am participating in the Global Design Project's Sketch challenge. This time, it's all about the Sea. There is no layout requirement, just share projects that reflect the theme of the sea. That's really easy with Stampin' Up! products. There are wonderful stamp sets that have that theme. 

I love this badge for the challenge. Stampin' Up! has an octopus stamp, a lighthouse stamp, and shells too, so this was a great design project to participate in. 

The project I created for this design challenge has the under the sea theme. I used the Sea of Textures stamp set and thinlits. I paired that with the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper. I love how it looks like it's right out of the ocean.

One of the details I love are the thinlits that are in the bundle. They create so much texture for your projects. I also added a bit of baker's twine and knotted it along the way to look like rope. That was fun!
