Happy Sweet 16 Birthday to my Daughter

 

 

It's so hard to believe that my youngest daughter, Samantha turned 16! She just went through foot surgery, so her day was pretty low key. She and her friend loved my "card in a box" birthday card. They were pretty impressed and wondered how in the world it works. I thought I'd share it with you.

There are many YouTube tutorials, but I really liked Queen Bea's Creations tutorial. You can view it for all the measurements you need to create your own "Card in a Box" creation.

Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack

 

I love the excitement that happens when we think of Christmas in July. It is so fun to begin to create all the holiday cards and packaging we need in the few months beyond July. It's the perfect time to get started so your cards get delivered in time. I have been designing and prepping for my Stamp-A-Stack that is happening on Saturday, July 9th at 10:00a.m. Cost is $12.00 for 10 cards and envelopes. Participants stamp 2 of each project for a total of 10. If you are in the area of Bremerton, WA or in the West Sound, you should plan to attend. Simply let me know that you would like to come. Here are a couple of projects I have finished designing. I hope you like them.

Fun Fold Project

I had fun creating a project for a special fold swap. I just love the new Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper. This bright card is perfect for summertime. It is really easy and people just love it. I would love to see your creation using this fun fold template. Send me a picture of your creation. I would love to post it on my blog.

 

 

Start with a piece of cardstock at 5 1/2 X 11

Score at 8", 5 1/2", 3", and 1 1/2"

DSP is cut 1/4" smaller than panel

Add some other details such as leaves or other things or leave as is

Get creative with all sorts of stamp sets and papers

Summer Fun Blogging Friends Blog Hop

 

 

Hi Everyone, what a fun time of the year once summer has arrived. Our weather in the Pacific Northwest has taken on the cloudy and cooler side of the weather lately, but that hasn't dampened my summery mood. This month the Blogging Friends are focused on summer, so I hope you enjoy our creations. My inspiration came from this picture I took out on a walk in my neighborhood. For some reason, I was so taken with these blooming flowers. I snapped a couple of pictures and knew I had to create a project in the same tones and feel of these flowers.

 

This is such a pretty shrub type of flowering plant.

These petals are just so perfect!

Here is my project that was inspired by these flowers. I combined two stamp sets and a new In-Color to have this summery project.

 

 



 





I love this visual technique of using layers to have such depth to the card. The blossoms punch is so fun to use that it makes this project a snap. Below is another flower I just couldn't resist snapping a picture of.
