Finding Inspiration Friday
True Gentleman DSP
True Gentleman Designer Series Paper

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for joining me today for my Finding Friday Inspiration post. If you have followed me, you know I love Stampin' Up! designer series papers. They are always beautiful, high quality, and the patterns on both sides are fantastic!

I was recently getting things together for my weekly class and decided to focus on colors that have recently been announced by Stampin' Up! as retiring. This DSP does have a color or two that are on that retiring list. Chocolate Chip is one color that is being retired. The green in this DSP is Tranquil Tide, which is a 2017-2019 In-Color that is still going to be available in the new Annual Catalog. I love to mix and match the DSP in my projects.

For this project I used Wild Wasabi as my base color. I love this color and it is also going to be retiring. It works perfect with the paper choices from the package that I pulled. Isn't the bow tie cute? I simply cut it out from the DSP and mounted it with dimensionals. It gave the card that last bit of pop. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits with the Layering Circles Dies. Have you noticed the 1/2" gingham ribbon? This is so silky and beautiful. The color is Night of Navy and it works for some many things.

Check out this fun project by Joyce Whitman who also loves the True Gentleman DSP. I was so inspired by her card.

I used Joyce's idea to create my own variation. I thought the balloons out of DSP was so clever! I decided that I needed to give a try at the DSP balloons and created a birthday card too since I was so inspired by Joyce's card.

Here is my card using the True Gentleman DSP. I love the combination of Night of Navy with Wild Wasabi. The colors really go well with the DSP. Did you notice my frame around the tag punch? I wish a shadow framelit would be included with the dies and punches, but I found a way to make it work so perfectly. Check it out.

I used the second largest Stitched Shapes Framelits and attached my punched out saying. Then I simply used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut along the sides first and then the ends. Then I had the perfect frame around my tag punch.

I hope you enjoyed stopping in today and are inspired to create some of your own projects. When it comes to designer series paper, the ideas are limitless. It's important to note that all of the current designer series papers are on the newly released retiring list. You won't want to wait to put in an order because DSP will sell out!
