Weekly Class

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Weekly Wednesday where I share samples of the projects my stamping friends got to make at class. This week I focused on the new Embossing Mats that are in the 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. With these mats, you now have twice the techniques with your framelits and thinlits. 

My dragonfly card shows the details of the wings have been embossed instead of cut out. I used the thin blue mat and the detailed dragonfly thinlit for this affect. 

This kindness card has a very simple embossed circle surrounded by the scallop circle of the Garden Impressions DSP. I used the Layering Circles Framelits and the thin embossing mat for this embossed circle.

This project for class was inspired by a project that Patty Bennett had created. I used the Springtime Impressions Thinlits and the thicker embossing mat to get the beautifully embossed flowers. I then sponged a bit to have the embossed image stand out more. I also used the Layering Oval Framelits To learn more about the embossing mats, click on the video.

I hope you have enjoyed these projects from class. If you haven't gotten the embossing mats, you will want to. I'm planning on creating many more projects for my stamping friends to do, so they remember how to layer the mats when creating.

Must Have Monday

CTS277

Thanks for stopping in today. I'm heading up the day with my Stampin' Up! must haves out of the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. It's the perfect time to share in the Clean and Simple Design challenge CTS277. 

I love participating in these design challenges because it really helps your creativity grow. Here is the latest challenge by Ali.

For my entry this week, I focused on the wonderful new In-Colors. These are bright and cheery. You can't help but smile. The In-Colors are definitely one of my "must have" products. Have you had a chance to page through the annual catalog? There are many, many wonderful new stamp sets and bundles. It's hard to choose favorites, but I do have to say the  Varied Vases bundle is one of my favorites so far. I say so far because once I stamp with a set it becomes my favorite, so many things are my favs. 

Today's card features 4 of the 5 new In-Colors. Can you guess which color wasn't included? I decided to add a little bling to my project and added 3 rhinestones for a little more stepped up card. Finding Inspiration Friday

with Fab Friday 140

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today to share in my Finding Inspiration Friday. It was really fun to get an email from demonstrator Brian King who shared his project for the Fab Friday 140 challenge. It happens to be all about the new In-Colors for 2018-2020. This really inspired my to create my own project. I just finished my weekly Wednesday class when I wanted to create a "Thank You" card for a friend. I happened to pull out the new In-Colors and decided on Grapefruit Grove as my color theme. These really work well with the Garden Impressions DSP pack. 

For my card, I used the Abstract Impressions stamp set for the greeting and background. The detailed butterfly really stands out. Of course my favorite accessory is the Artisan Pearls. I seem to use them on almost all of my projects.

Love it, Live it Share it

Hi Everyone,

It's a wonderful day to stop in so I can say how happy I am to have you with me today for the Global Design Project. The theme for this week is the love of paper crafting and the challenge to "Love it, Live it, Share it". So today I am letting my crafting friends know how lucky I am to have friends like you. 

My project was created using new Share What you Love Suite and I used the Designer Series Paper as my background. I love to mix and match DSP when I'm crafting. The saying comes from the coordinating stamp set Love What you Do, which is quite fitting for this week's challenge.

Want it all Wednesday

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. I am just drooling over all the wonderful new products in the 2018-2019 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog! Everything is so amazing, but there are a couple of favorites that I have totally fallen in love with. I'd like to share those with you today. 

Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes

I absolutely love these note cards! The soft water color background on the note cards make the perfect beginning to wonderful projects. For this note card, I used the Love What you Do Stamp set and the Share What you Love Embellishment Kit. Of course no project would be complete without some bling, so I used the Artisan Pearls that coordinate with the suite of products. The Delightfully Detailed Note Cards come in a package of 20 color-washed cards including four designs. Colors include Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron. A set of these can make the perfect gift.

Garden Impressions 6" x 6" DSP Stack

I recently posted a couple of projects for sketch challenges. I used this DSP stack in both projects. I absolutely love this stack! The painting of these papers remind me so much of the artist Claude Monet. There is that impressionistic quality to the papers.

Well just from sharing these two new products, I feel like I need to go back stamp more. I'm so inspired by these products. Be sure to check back because I will continue to share my new favorites.

Time for the GDP142

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today to check out the latest Global Design Project card challenge. I was so excited to get my box of new Stampin' Up! products this past week. I haven't had much time to take everything out, but I certainly wanted to check out the new In-Colors for 2018-2020. These 5 new In-Colors are so bright and cheery. I used the new Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch, and Call Me Clover for this project. ! I also used the new Dandelion Wishes stamp set. You may have seen a project I recently created for another card challenge earlier last week. I really like this stamp set and plan to do a "Stamp of the Month" class with it in July. Here is the layout I used as my inspiration for my card.

Some of my favorites things in the new catalog are the designer series paper and other embellishments. For my project, I used the Garden Impressions 6" x 6" DSP stack. So many of the papers remind me of my favorite artist, Claude Monet. I also am in love with the new Glitter Dots! They are so pretty. I used them as the center of my dandelions.

A Clean and Simple Design Challenge

CTS #276 & Prize Patrol

Finding Inspiration Friday

Rooted in Nature

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today for the end of the week and Finding Inspiration. Over the long weekend, my daughter and I went for a nice local hike and saw some wonderful nature. I was so inspired by the scenery that I wanted to bring that into my stamping. This project was also inspired by demonstrator, Jackie Walker. 

This area that we like to walk through has several areas of ponds and marsh type places. The beavers have really made some incredible dams, which has created this beautiful area. I love that we live in such a beautiful natural area with places to hike all around us. 

For this card, the new Rooted in Nature Stamp set was used as well as the new Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper. I love this bundle from the new Annual Catalog! It is perfect for all occasions and especially for the males in our life.

Stampin' Up! celebrates 30 wonderful years. I can't wait to see what upcoming specials are offered for this fantastic milestone.

Wonderful Wednesday

Samantha Decides on WSU

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for joining me today as we begin a new chapter in our lives and make memories. My youngest daughter, Samantha has confirmed that she will begin college at Washington State University in the fall. We took a trip to experience WSU and she fell in love with the school. I am so impressed by this college as well. It is truly all about the students. For my memory page, I used the Large Numbers stamp set (which is retired) for the 2018 heading. Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black is the color theme since WSU is crimson.

One of the really fun things on the 6 hour drive through lots of just farmland is an old school bus sitting in a field. My daughter and I loved this bus! I used one of the word window cards from a Memories & More Card pack. Then I added the Clear Faceted Gems. Over the years people stop and paint the bus. This makes a great photo opportunity too.
