Wonderful Wednesday
Happy May Day

Share What you Love
Hi Everyone,
What a perfect day to post on the 1st of May known as "May Day". Did you ever go and hang flowers on your neighbor's door? I remember doing a bit of this as a kid. I have noticed that some beautiful bulbs are blooming in my neighborhood, and what a fabulous flower I saw recently. I snapped this picture on Friday when I visited a high school for the district I work with. The office had this vase of flowers and it this beauty had just opened as the day progressed. The month of May brings lot of great things in stamping too.
Today I wanted to share with you the love I have for designer series paper (DSP). If you follow me, you know I share a lot on DSP. Every year, Stampin' UP! retires the whole collection of DSP because they create so many more wonderful designs of DSP. There are a few projects I want to share with you that highlight the Share What you Love DSP. This is special because it is a larger package of the usual DSP you purchase. It has 24 12" x 12" sheets which are beautiful. Some have shimmer and the colors are fabulous. I hope you enjoy.
This project really lets the DSP shine. I used a 5 1/4" x 12" piece of the DSP and scored at 4" at each end. This creates a Gate Fold. Then I stamped a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White for the inside and mounted a base of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". This is a great project because you get to highlight both sides of the DSP. That's the one thing my customers say is that they hate to tape down one side of the DSP because it's so pretty too.
Although the first project was a more peachy theme, all three of these projects show off the rich berry colors of some of the papers. I really like that Mint Macaron is also a highlighted color in the pattern. It all goes so well together. Here is what the DSP looks like.
This is such a beautiful collection of papers. There are so many wonderful colors and patterns. I especially love the pearlized finish on many of the sheets. There are several coordinating products for this paper as well.
The Share What you Love Embellishment kit has many pre-cut tags, clips, bakers twine and more. You also saw the Pearl Doilies in my first project and the Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon in my last project. These are great embellishments to step up your projects. It's hard to believe that this complete suite was a special purchase one year ago. Check out this Stampin' Up! video to see all the products that were created to go together.
I hope you have enjoyed your time with me today. I really do love all of these wonderful products and will miss that they are retiring. I know that some of the consumables will sell out, so don't delay in ordering. There is a new product medley that has just become available. I'll be sharing more about that on Friday, so be sure to come back and visit.
