The Paper Players
Clean & Simple #425 "Snowy Day"
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for joining me. It seems fitting to be creating for the Paper Players "Snowy Day" Clean & Simple design challenge. I feel so much for all my family back in Michigan with the terrible storms they are dealing with. I pray that everyone is safe and stays warm.
Claire from the Paper Players put out the call for this challenge and said to keep the layers minimal and design clean. Well, mine is quite an easy card, even though it looks like it took a lot of work.
The watercolor look is a large stamp that I inked up and stamped twice. This gave me the dark and light tones of color. Then I stamped the snowflake stamp several times. It's quite a blizzard and beautiful. The snowflakes were punched out of silver glitter paper. I do have another project to share with you today. I used the same stamp set to create another "Snowy Day" theme.
For this project, I used new colors called Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. I just love how Stampin' Up! names their colors! This time I used the Blizzard thinlit die that created the embossed snowflakes. I used the Embossing Mat with the Bigshot so I wouldn't cut through the cardstock. Rhinestones and the snowflake element top the card off with sparkle.
I hope you enjoyed my "Snowy Day" projects. I miss that we haven't had any snow in the Pacific Northwest yet this year. The weather experts say we will stay warmer this winter. We have been below freezing, but no snow. Be sure to check out the other entries for the "Snowy Day" PP425 challenge. There are lots of fun projects to see.
