Must Make Monday
Ode to Flash Cards + Prize Patrol
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my Monday Blog. Today I want to share a wonderful way to create quick cards. Connie Stewart is another Stampin' Up! demonstrator who inspires me with her Flash Cards. These are created so quickly when you pre-cut layers for that needed card in the future.
For my projects today, I used Connie's Flash card measures for my Smoky Slate and white pieces. The Smoky Slate piece measures 4 1/4" x 2 3/4". Then you cut the white piece at 4" x 2 1/2". From there you create your project.
To create Flash cards, you take a full piece of 8 1/2" x 11" colored cardstock as well as white or vanilla. then you cut these down to the measure listed above. You can get 8 cards from 1 sheet of these listed. Connie Stewart will take each color group of cardstock and cut them into layers and store them for when she needs a card. Then she will pull out a base card and the layers and get to creating. It's so quick and easy!
For this project, I took the Flash Card layers and tore the bottoms for a nice antique look. When you create your flash card layers, you can alter them any way you wish.
The Lace 3-D Embossing folder is beautiful. I also like the beautiful style of the Fanciful Fragrance stamp set. The greetings are beautiful as well. This card has such a vintage look to it.
There are so many ways to love these perfume bottles. They really lead themselves to vintage project. This is something I love to create. I have been taking antique occasion cards and creating vintage greeting cards. It's so fun to do.
As you can see, there are many varieties of projects you can do with the Flash Card layers. I wanted to put out a challenge to all of my followers. I want you to create a project using the Flash Card layers for your chance to win a prize.
The winner will win any stamp set from the new and upcoming Holiday Catalog.
