So Do Love You
New from Stampin' Up!
Hi Everyone,
The New Year brings the cold days of winter, but also the time to get working on your much needed Valentine's cards, gifts, and goodies. I had so much fun using some of the new Occasions Catalog products to create these three cards for my weekly class. The So Do Love You Suite is fantastic. I wasn't sure that I was going to like the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, but when I opened the package, I couldn't stop! The colorful designs and gold accents are wonderful together. If you have followed my blog for a while, you know I love the designer series papers (DSP). Be sure to comment and share if you liked my projects today. I love to chat.
Do you notice the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Stickers? (The 3 hearts) |
For this project, I used Melon Mambo for my base and ink for the background and heart. Wild Wasabi ink was used for the words and larger heart. The new Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon is perfect! The stamped background was created by using a heart stamp from the So Do Love You stamp set and one of the stamps in the Window Shopping stamp set.
Surprise inside |
One nice feature is that the back side of the specialty DSP doesn't have the gold accents. I love to mix and match |
I was so glad when Stampin' Up! began to carry 3 x 3" envelopes again. The best way to get experience in designing projects is to begin with 3 x 3" note cards. This allows you to get a great focal point. Then how easy it is to add this to a larger project. For this project, I used the specialty DSP, the So Do Love You Stamp set and the Lots of Love Box Framelits Dies. Powder Pink and Rich Razzleberry inks were used for the heart. I used the Gold Vinyl Stickers on this project as well.
For my last project, I combined Rich Razzleberry and Powder Pink as my base colors. It was so easy to coordinate colors. The DSP uses Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Powder Pink, and Calypso Coral. This card uses all of the colors and looks great. I bet you can spot the Gold Vinyl Stickers on this project too? Hint, look at the 2 hearts. Here is another picture to share with you with projects focusing more on the Calypso Coral and Powder Pink color scheme.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today. I really can't get enough of the Painted with Love Specialty DSP or this suite of products. If you don't have a demonstrator, I would be happy to send you a copy of the new Occasions Catalog. You can check out my demonstrator website for my events as well.
