Finding Inspiration Friday
Collage Stamping

Hi Everyone,
Well it's my favorite day of the week, Friday! It's the last day of the work week and I can plan all my stamping classes and events over the weekend. Friday finds me very inspired by all the things I see around me.

I have really been inspired by Collage Stamping. this is where you stamp many types of images with different intensity of color and then add a focal point. This technique creates such wonderful backgrounds. You will find projects have a vintage or antique feel when you do collage stamping.

For this first project I used the Rooted in Nature stamp set with the coordinating dies as well as the Birch Background stamp. I also used several colors for this card. Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry are the four colors used.

For my projects today, I was completely inspired by a small calendar I have. What's funny is that I have this exact calendar in the large size in my kitchen. I didn't even know that I bought the same calendar. I guess that's how much I like it.

The pages are all so beautiful! I love this nature one with the rabbit and dragonfly. It reminds me of spring and Easter (even though it's the page for January).

You can see all the months of this calendar and get so inspired by the stamps that Stampin' Up! offers. There is a poppy month for February and there are lots of butterflies and birds. I think the December page with the cardinals is gorgeous! I am thinking of  an idea for Christmas already!

Another project I wanted to share with you is using a stamp set that is almost my favorite in the annual catalog. It's the Very Versailles Stamp set. I coordinated it with the greetings from the Fanciful Fragrance stamp set. Both of these sets go great together.

Because this card has a lot of antique feel, I included the Detailed Bands dies which adds so much to the card. My color choices were Terracotta Tile and Mossy Meadow. These colors work so well together!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today and are also inspired by them or the beautiful calendar images I shared to create your own collage stamped projects. Thanks so much for stopping in. I love to share my love for stamping.
