Beautifully Braided Bundle

Welcome to Make it Monday where I share something I just finished creating. For my post today, I wanted to share my first card using the Beautifully Braided stamp set and punch from Stampin' Up! I really like the stamp set, but just haven't used it because of so many wonderful products. 

This project is part of my weekly class where I am focusing on stencil techniques. For this card, I used the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks and a sponge for this background. I adhered the mask to Whisper White Cardstock using washi tape. Then using a sponge and Pear Pizzaz stamp pad, I sponged over the area trying to get a dark to light background. I love the look with the black Ginkgo stamp over top.

The stamp set also has a stamp for using to color the inside of the leaves. You can also color using Stampin' Write or Stampin' Blends Markers too. 

Isn't the Braided Border Punch fantastic? It really adds so much texture and interest to this project. I also used the So Sentimental Bundle for the greeting and label. These label dies are a must have!
